Thank you, food quality and service is excellent. This is the only Chinese Cuisine restaurant in Waterloo Region that we go to. Excellent
Food was cold by the time got home. One of the dishes did not include the listed rice, part of the deal. Pad tai dish had little taste, did not include lemon and peanut sauce. Will not return
First time here. Ordered the Cantonese chow mein which is usually my go-to for Chinese. The dish was lackluster. Presentation was bad. Taste was meh. The food got cold quickly. It could've used a bit more meat/veggies. Likely won't be going here again.

University Garden Chinese Cuisine offers a variety of dishes, including Salt & Pepper Tofu, Chicken Egg Foo Yong, and Flat Rice Noodle With Beef Black Bean Sauce. The Salt & Pepper Tofu is popular, but it is noted to be very salty, even when customers ask for a less salty version. The food quality is considered okay, but some customers have commented that the portion sizes have reduced significantly over the years, with smaller containers that are not filled completely. For the price, many feel it does not meet their expectations compared to the past.
Service can be inconsistent, with some orders taking longer than anticipated. There have been instances where requests, such as avoiding pork in dishes, were not met, which could be problematic for those with dietary restrictions. Despite these issues, the Lunch Special, Singapore Noodle, is seen as a good value at $11.93, and some dishes, like Salt & Pepper Shrimp, continue to receive positive feedback.
