“Went here for the first time a couple weeks ago. I can't speak for the food, we popped in late after seeing a movie for a drink. I can say the cocktails are great and the vibe is cool and unique in the city. Check it out, I should've gone there sooner.“

We enjoyed the lively atmosphere and the warm, attentive service. The food was tasty overall. I gave 4 stars because the escargot was much smaller than I remember from dining elsewhere. “Came here for my birthday. We started off with spinach dip suggested by our server then got salmon and the steak sandwich. All the food tasted amazing. The service was amazing from Olivika she went above and beyond for us. She even packaged our food neatly for us. At the end we got a cake with a candle with happy birthday written in chocolate.

10/10 restaurant and will certainly be coming back.“

“This place has delicious shawarma and the mom and dad running the place seem to really care.
However, I dislike places where there is no menu. I want a clear price for every item I pick. They have TV screens with some items, but nothing if all you want is a wrap, which is odd and not to my liking. I got one price, but the Saj shawarma wrap was more expensive. Of course without a menu I have no way of knowing this.

So I ordered the Chicken Saj shawarma which was great, but what I ordered wasn't very creamy. But the chicken was delicious. I'm sure that if I had a menu then I could have ordered something exactly to my taste. My son had the Falafel plate which was delicious and as advertised.“

“I recently visited The Chopped Leaf and had a fantastic experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I also tried their new mint lemonade drink, and it was refreshing and delicious! “Been here a handful of times now and I am convinced this is the best restaurant in Waterloo. The flavours are so unique, the service is so friendly, and the cozy environment makes you not want to leave. Also without a doubt the best glass of ice water I've ever had. Not sure how or why, but wow.“

“One of the best brunch spots in town. Counter service but very friendly. Limited menu but all is well prepared and nicely presented and tasty!

Expect to fight for a table as there are many singles treating this more like a coffee shop and setting up their office. Wifi is limited to 2 hours. Blankets are provided for those sitting on the patio.“

Today Nov 17th at around 1:30pm we came for a birthday pizza and the lady serving me was really nice!
She was happy to make my pizza with 7 toppings I requested and did so with a smile which made me feel very comfortable :)
She even wished me Happy Birthday and included a birthday card :)
Great customer service!

When I buy pizza next time, I will definitely come to this location!

A friend recommended this place for lunch, and I have to say, it’s the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. The highlight? The chicken balls. They’re not just 99% breading with a tiny piece of chicken inside. These are real, flavorful chicken balls that practically melt in your mouth.“

“A friend of mine and her son went to eat here Monday night. My first time at that location. It started out badly, very badly, the young, long haired, blond bartender was rude and unprofessional. Peyton, Bob and Theodora turned it around for us and with their eager to rectify approach helped turn a very negative experience into a positive one. Peyton was understanding, tentative to my concerns and genuinely wanted to help. Bob was amazing. He came to us with a genuine approach, listened to our issues. We felt heard and respected, in the end, found a reasonable solution we all were happy with. As we were leaving, Theodora held the door for us as she was coming into her shift with a bright beautiful smile, respectful and genuinely nice. These 3 are a great representation of amazing service that should be emulated by the ENTIRE staff, as well as IMO, a lot of establishment's are lacking. Thank you guys and I specifically want to thank Bob again.“

“We have become a bit disappointed with our usual AYCE sushi place so we tried out this spot for the first time tonight and we were blown away with how good it was.

The food was amazing and we can't wait to try more of their extensive menu. The flavour of everything was incredible, everything was fresh and the portion sizes are just right.

The service was awesome. Quick and attentive and the server bringing the dishes even took time to identify each item when we orderes multiple roll types at a time.

The atmosphere is perfect. I love the location and the vibe in the restaurant is the right combination of chill and interesting. The drawings at the main counter as a neat touch.

The price was really reasonable for the quality of the food and the service.

Definitely recommend.

They have solid options for vegetarian people, and food tends to be made with 15 minutes, unless they're especially busy. If you're in a rush, just call ahead. I also enjoy their cheese wontons, although I usually get them as a treat (kinda pricey for the quantity)“
