“This was right around from our hotel so we stopped in for breakfast. The service was great, friendly and fast. We could tell this was a family run business the way they all worked together. When customers entered the establishment she called all the locals by name and knew what they wanted to order. I loved that! What great people! Our food was hot, made correctly and delicious! Can’t wait to return when we’re in the area again.“

All of the hosts and waitstaff whom I interacted with were lovely and welcoming! Our server, Delaney, was incredibly on the ball and was the perfect balance of attentive and respectful of privacy!

I was very grateful to be able to customize my meal to my liking with substitutions, and Delaney was very helpful and understanding.

Everyone was very happy with their food. The prices were excellent, especially with a sale on, and I have plenty of leftovers for a delicious breakfast tomorrow.

Rachel dropped by our table and did a quality check, while maintaining an extremely meagre degree of professionalism — an experience that I trust was unique to my group, given that the location has many positive reviews.
While the offer of a five-dollar voucher for writing a Google review (of any number of stars) was vaguely appealing, feeling pressured into taking it was not. If anything, I would have happily paid extra to have avoided uncomfortable interactions with Rachel. Perhaps an extra $5.00 to prevent her from trying to pressure me and my group — and hearing that she was sure that we weren’t proceeding with writing the review since she knows how teenagers are — as if the required labour of the customer goes well beyond cordial conversation and a paid bill, another $5 for her to take a break from jokingly disparaging her (fantastic) staff, and perhaps another $5 to avoid feeling shamed for leaving a small amount of food behind.
While I’m sure intentions were good, guidance on how to be tactful and warm while making requests may be warranted.

“Very typical and comfortable diner atmosphere. Older crowd when I was there at lunch. Service was excellent and friendly. My food was very good quality. I had the chicken tender platter. Fries and coleslaw. Amazing. Dipping sauces, amazing. The tenders are home made from real breast meat. The coating on the tenders was more of a batter than a breading. The texture was light and airy like a cheesy or corn puff. It was interesting. But not to my preference. Portion was HUGE.“

“I had breakfast today here and it was a really nice experience. The food was fresh and delicious, and the overall atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Even though the place was quite busy, the service was still excellent and well organized.

The main thing is the owner was personally involved and she was very polite, friendly, and made sure everyone was taken care of. She served us by herself and was very attentive, which made the experience feel special. You can tell she truly cares about her customers and the way the place is run. The management is very good, and the staff works hard even during rush hours.

Overall, it was a great breakfast experience with amazing service. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again.“
