I walk by here every day on my way home from work. Today I finally decided to give it a try! I ordered the Tempura Bento and Chicken Karaage. Both were delicious! Neither of these dishes were overly greasy in texture and they were both wonderfully seasoned! The service was quick and the servers were polite and friendly. The seafood bowl is the best raw seafood you can get in KW. The sushi rolls are fun and creative but different from what you’ll get at other places. It’s a bit pricey.
We had a great time at Watami. The sushi was delicious. Amazing service from Jackie. Will definitely be back.

The restaurant has a clean and quiet environment with friendly service, though there are occasional moments where service can feel a little rushed, especially during dinner hours. The food quality is high, with fresh fish that can be tasted in the sashimi. The chicken karage has good seasoning, but is served without a side lemon. Appetizers like takoyaki and shrimp tempura sometimes lack flavor, and the baked scallop roll was disappointing, with small scallops mixed with mushrooms. Despite these minor issues, the atmosphere remains pleasant, and the staff is generally attentive and apologetic when mistakes happen, such as a hair found in the food. Overall, Watami Sushi is a hidden gem that offers a good dining experience with delicious food and attentive service.
