What an amazing discovery. Definitely off the beaten path on a side street. However, worth the visit and the food is worth every penny.
Tried the Laghman Noodles, Lamb skewers and splash oil dumplings. Everything was delicious and well seasoned. Lamb skewers were out of this world. One of the best tasting Lamb skewers I've had in GTA.
Definitely a keeper and to be repeated. Will be back to try other dishes.

This was my first time trying Uyghur food and I am glad I tried it here. I ordered the Bogda Laghman and Bogda Honey Cake for takeout. Both were delicious! I will say, the Bogda Laghman is a bit oily, so keep that in mind if you do not like oily food. The staff were very kind and took care of my order quickly. I love the decorations they have here. I hope I can return and enjoy a sit-down meal here in the future. I highly recommend supporting this business and I hope they thrive.

had the best hand pulled noodles I’ve ever had and they’re made fresh. Such lovely customer service and the restaurant is fully halal!! Ordered the dried fried laghman with beef and chives and asked for extra spice :)

My family and I recently wanted to try a new cuisine and we are SO glad we decided to try Bogda. For a plethora of reasons, this place was nothing short of amazing.
First of all — and maybe most important — the food was DELICIOUS. We had the Bogda Laghman, Special Laghman, Dry-Fried Laghman, Shohla Chop, and a mouthwatering order of dumplings. Everything from seasoning and temperature to texture and spice was wonderful. It was also refreshing to see huge portion sizes; they made the prices very fair.
Secondly, our server was kind and attentive. We were completely unfamiliar with Uyghur cuisine and she patiently described menu items, answered questions, and made recommendations. She checked in on us as we ate and ensured our water glasses never ran empty without any prompting.
Finally, the space itself was quite pleasant. It was clear that the restaurant cares about presentation and wants their customers to feel comfortable. We also appreciated their clean washrooms and music volume.
All in all, I would recommend Bogda without hesitation. I’m so happy to have found this hidden gem and will definitely be back. If you want to try something new without worrying about quality, this is the place! Trust me, you’ll feel good supporting a local business, being fair to your wallet, and bringing joy to your taste buds.

Wow, I can't believe a restaurant like this in Waterloo. What a hidden gem. The food here is really special.
The dumplings in chili oil and garlic were clearly fresh and homemade, perfectly boiled so the meat is not rubbery but soft.
The skewers were perfectly seasoned with large chunks of fatty, soft, well rendered meat.
Service is personable and the restaurant is clearly family run. We will be back!

The food here is absolutely astonishing. My friend and I got three dishes (lamb tongue salad, polo, and laghman) and were absolutely blown away by the quality of each. I am not lying when I say this might be some of the best food in Waterloo. The kind waitress told me her dad is the chef - I hope he knows how talented he is. This restaurant is bound to get noticed sometime soon. It’s only a matter of time before everyone knows the name “Bogda”
