Such a wonderful cafe! The sandwiches and salads are generous portions and delicious! I highly recommend the smoked salmon on baguette and the strawberry spinach salad. The atmosphere is lovely and quaint; a perfect spot for a lunch date and/or coffee with dessert!
My favourite place to have early coffee&croassan, short workday lunch, or afternoon meeting with friends or colleages. Wide variety of teas and coffees, always fresh salads, goof choice of desserts. The owner is always cheerful, she knows everyone by names and doing her best to serve you in gentle and warm manner. You can have you calm silent time with computer or friend meeting there. All works. Cosy and stylish European design in the very heart of Waterloo. Glad to have such a place in the town!

Walked in to find a delightfully pleaceful and cute interior. The ceowd seemed to be upscale and calm folks.
Had a pot of green rose tea which amazed everyone. It was like drinking luxury grren tea with a touch of rose water. It amazed everyone.
I recommend the butterscotch nut tart.
The owner was just wonderful to talk to.

Everything about cafe 22 is cozy and warm and the staff are amazing and so sweet. The owner herself makes the most wonderful food and really gets to know her customers. I've been coming for years and she always asks how I am. Highly recommend coming by for lunch or just a sweet treat and a hot drink.
