Cafe 22 has it all. The easy ambiance, interior design, excellent coffee, tasty foods, and a friendly owner that truly cares about her customers . Prices are reasonable with timely service. It is simply one of the best cafes in Waterloo.

What a delightful café. It's rare these days to get attentive and warm table service in cafes-- and the coffee and tea menu is great, as are their selection of sweets and sandwiches of all kinds. I've been to the café a few times and quickly was made to feel like it was a second home. I highly recommend Café 22 on your next visit to downtown Waterloo; such a treat!

Great cute little spot, I'm sad to see how expensive coffee has gotten, including here... But much more worth it than Starbucks... Amazing staff as well...But again kinda pricey, but still better and cheaper than Starbucks... I am gonna start bringing my own coffee to work, BUT! any day I forget or wanna switch it up, I'm gonna come here :)

What a wonderful little cafe! Went here with my good friend from out of town for a coffee date. They did not disappoint the cappuccino and lattes were delicious!! And the butter tarts oh my chefs kiss so good!!

waited over 35 minutes for our latte and tea, and then when it arrived the coffee was burnt and overextracted while the milk was poorly textured. never coming here

Whether it is sitting and writing in my journal, or if I need to focus and work on my laptop, or simply having a chat over coffee with a friend, i find Cafe22 to be one of the most special cafes in the Kitchener-Waterloo area! I am so grateful I found this special spot, which I consider a hidden gem! An absolutely charming, cozy, and relaxing atmosphere and decoration; delicious food and beverages; and most importantly an extremely kind and welcoming staff! I have to say that Daniela’s friendliness and genuine care and warmth add a lot to the whole experience as well! Highly recommended!Vegetarian options: A very rich variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options of pastries and other food items!
