Lazy service. Twisted logic. Ordered 4 baked goods with our coffee. Server brings it out quick. Very nice surprise because serving the two customers ahead of us took an unusually long time. Were used to the long waits- im aware these guys take their time. Walk over to picnic tables and find that sausage, savory croissant are not heated. Go back- woman refuses to warm them- citing food safety. We say we just bought these. No sorry she says. We ask why food wasn't warmed to begin with. Sorry I was very busy was the response. Offers us a cinnamon bun as a replacement for the $25 of cold food we ordered. Unacceptable. No refund was offered. In short, food was terrible, service was terrible. Guess I'll save my money next time. Also, a spanakopita is NOT a croissant. If it's circular and not crescent shaped and not made with layers of laminated dough it's NOT a croissant. So, stop with the false advertising.
They are very nice here. I wish that I could afford their unique treats! But actually, sometimes I can!... because Cafe Pyrus regularly donates their day olds to us less-capables by way of the community fridges around back... The ones that... drum roll... happen to be the best community pantry/fridge location in all K-W! Yeah, woo! Literally the coolest. Two fridges.
Don't worry, only a handful of us desperate souls are feral to the point of scattering countless items around ourselves while repacking our bags after grabbing some gluten free peanut butter chocolate chip muffins from the back, muttering incoherently. Even fewer would dare approach the seating area. Oh no. Not with the laundered smell of the middle class wafting around from the front, dancing around the small wooden cabin along with the echoes of lighthearted smalltalk and laughs that know no despair beyond grandma's hip surgery, which, huh, I guess ranks highly. Me, I do my best to twist a smile of greeting onto my face whenever I make the mistake of shuffling up from around the back corner of the building during open hours, suddenly in full view of happy families on rainbow picnic tables eating snacks, as parents try not to visibly tense up and I try to twist directly towards the pantry door and claw it open, desperate to make it clear as quickly as possible that I am not coming any closer or making needless eye contact. Phew. Thats why we mostly come at night. Mostly.
Please oh please will this make Google stop requesting my review over and over again?

Great location right on bike trail. Stop in and get a good drink at fair prices. Relax for a few minutes before getting back on the trail.

Can you imagine having to pay an automatic 10% gratuity without your knowledge for miserable service? Once I realized that I had been tricked into leaving a tip and inquired, the employee indicated that they have two signs saying this is their process. The signs are very small and not obvious at all. I am disgusted with how slimy this practice is and will absolutely not return.

Unfortunately I have to give Cafe Pyrus 1 star due to their tipping system. I tapped my card and then noticed a sign saying there is a 10% gratuity added to all sales due to unprecedented times.I asked the cashier and I was charged this. There’s no review of items you’re purchasing, just the small white box to tap. What unprecedented times are we currently living in? I won’t be going back until I get to make the decision of how much I tip or when.

It's a cute little cafe along the bike path. I like to go for walks and I probably visit here at least once a week. Great coffee, and I'm told the vegan baked goods are also really good.

Incredibly impressed with this place! Dayton (I hope this is the right name) gave fantastic service. The baked goods were so good, would never guess they were gluten free. The BEST ginger cookie I have ever had! Coffee was great too! Thank you!

First visit to the cafe as a training trip for my dog, so helpful, perfect location for trails, and bonus dog friendly with treats and water available. Add to that the amazing customer service and delicious latte and scone. Very impressive and will be back!

Nice cafe spin-off from Cafe Pyrus downtown with lots of vegan coffee and treat options. There is currently a seasonal pumpkin spice option. The boards are a touch confusing at first glance because they are filled in with chalk for the options and not all of the prices are clear. The GF peanut butter cookie is good but ended up being kind of expensive around $4.50. Some parking available. Currently you purchase outside and there’s a bunch of bees which sucks a bit. There is some outside bench seating. Located right off the bike path.
