Needed an egg-free, kid-friendly dessert for a birthday party attendee. Ce Food delivered! The vegan cupcake was declared "delicious" and the staff gave very helpful advice and instructions for how to best serve the cupcake.

While the place was charming and had nice customer service, I was disappointed with the quality of the food I brought home. I ordered the chicken pot pie. For nearly $30, I expected something really outstanding, but the quality just wasn’t there. The flavours were strange, and the celery pieces really took away from the taste.

Such a great bakery. Lots of bread and baked goods to fit any dietary restriction. Always giving back to the community as well. I have seen them at local schools and community events. When I am at events in Uptown Waterloo I make sure to stop by and pick something up for me and the kids.

They did an amazing job with our son's Pokéball birthday cake. He absolutely loved it. And I've honestly never heard so many people complement a birthday cake! Everyone was asking where we got it 😊

I’m very surprised and disappointed with my recent experience at this bakery. I’ve been a customer, visiting often and hearing wonderful feedback from friends who’ve ordered cakes here. Unfortunately, my custom 6” heart cake for my birthday didn’t meet the standards I’ve come to expect.

I ordered a heart-shaped cake with a “28” and small heart, but the design was sloppy and not neat at all—it looked nothing like the polished creations I’ve seen before. To add to this poor experience, I was charged twice for the order. I had already paid online when placing the custom order, but when my friend picked it up for me, she was charged again. Despite questioning this, she was told it hadn’t been paid for.

Ultimately, I couldn’t even use the cake as it was completely unacceptable. This was such a disappointing experience.

Update: I was given a refund for being charged twice, but the business did not address the quality of the cake and why it was deemed acceptable for pick-up. I would NOT advise ordering customs cakes from here.

After many years of visiting, we finally had to change our review. We visited every week at their old location near Lens mills.

After they moved it was harder to visit but we still tried to come by. The amount of times and item gets forgotten just made us stop coming. Ordering your items all at once and then having the employee go collect your baked goods left too much error for pur liking. Might be only a cookie or we'd get 1 of 2 brownies we paid for.

Just watch and make sure you get what you ordered.

Hands down the best vegan cakes in KW - our go-to for celebrations! We’ve tried 3 different kinds so far and keep going back for more, highly recommend! (Bonus: Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, and their brownies/muffins/other baked goods are delicious as well)

Three times I've been the recipient of cakes or cupcakes from CFE, and they've all been some of the best cakes I've ever had! As someone who can't eat dairy, it's a real delight that such rich baking is also easily made vegan. You'd better believe that the next time I need a cake for something I'll be coming straight here!

I’m annoyed enough to write this review because I just spent $25 on food that went into the garbage. After hearing good things I thought I would try them out. I got a gluten free muffin which was dry and mealy with over sugared icing. We got a couple sandwich cookies which were also mealy and so insanely sweet that I couldn’t taste anything other than sugar. They need to reduce the sugar by 50% to allow any other flavours to come out. We also got a butter tart. I’ve eaten a lot of butter tarts in my life and this was the worst. It was dense thick, icing, almost solid sugar, poured into a hard tart shell. Butter tarts are supposed to be gooey or even a tad runny and soft flaky crust. I have no idea why people recommend this place. Almost any bakery in the city does a better job.

My partner and I ordered treats from here at the Toronto VegFest and the food was absolutely incredible. We even ate it a day or two later and we were astounded at how delicious it was! I'm sad that we live so far but we will come to this place when we visit Waterloo!
