Great wings and a good poutine. Love going here on Wednesday for wings night.

I’ve been coming to this bar for years, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I ever made. From the moment I first walked in, I knew I had found something special, and that feeling has only grown stronger with time.

The owner is one of the most generous and genuinely hospitable people I’ve ever met. He has a way of making everyone feel like part of the family, whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth. That energy sets the tone for the entire place.

The kitchen staff are some of the best guys I know. Their creativity and passion come through in every dish, striking the perfect balance between comfort food and something a little unexpected. It’s exactly the kind of menu you want from a great pub.

The bar staff are always warm, welcoming, and just fun to be around. And if you’re not served by one of the amazing ladies behind the bar, it’s likely one of the owner’s twins—an absolute gem of a guy who brings the same heart and charm his dad does.

This place has become more than just a local hangout for me. It’s a second home, a place full of good food, great people, and even better memories. I’m so glad I walked through those doors all those years ago.

So we decided to go in we are long term take out customers and the food is always so great typical bar type food. We went on a Saturday night and sat outside.

The good

1) it wasn’t blaring music where you can’t talk to each other. The vibe was quite literally “chill “ and it was wonderful

2) service was outstanding and attentive

3) prices super reasonable.

4) food was served quick

My advice.

1- patio is awesome but has nails and mildew all over it- needs attention asap

2- wings - which we’ve never ordered takeout on we’re overcooked HOWEVER we didn’t complain and this could’ve been a one off. They happily accommodated all our requests and changes. So this may be a unfair opinion

Overall we will 100% come back and I will try the wings again.

This isn’t a fancy place but a great local favourite of bar food and drinks. Prices are very far

This place is a dive. The portions are small. One teeny tiny cup of coleslaw (one fork full) of coleslaw, the club sandwich was made with wonderbread and missing the third piece of bread (a BLT with a slice of chicken on it). The beer on tap was WARM. The place was empty and extremely outdated. The bar had a few patrons that appeared to be solicited for various things by an individual. We felt very uncomfortable.
The service was good. She couldn’t control what she was serving.
We will not be back and we’re extremely disappointed.

We were a big group with a reservation for quite a while. Unfortunately they didn’t prepare for us. The food took hours to come. The tables were served with such a time gap I was waiting around for so long while others had finished. The food was fine, but not worth such terrible service and wait times.

They did blatant misleading advertisement for St. Patrick's Day today. They said they would give free samples of lamb, but the moment we entered, they were trying to guilt-trip us to buy drinks in order to get the sample that they did themselves said it was free. The manager or the owner (man with white hair) was rude and unprofessional. This was my first time checking the place out and I will never step their ever again.

Let me tell you something, nobody—and I mean nobody—does it like The Chill. The food? Fantastic. Absolutely tremendous. And Ellie? Best server you’ve ever seen. Believe me, people love her. They come up to me, they say, “Sir, Ellie is incredible. How does she do it?” Nobody knows, folks. It’s a mystery.

Stan, the owner, great guy—one of the best, if not the best. People are always telling me, “Stan runs a phenomenal place.” And his son, Yannis? Incredible talent. Total winner. A real chip off the old block. It’s like family in there, folks. Real family atmosphere. Warm, welcoming—like you’ve known them your whole life.

Other bars, they try—but they’re total disasters compared to The Chill. Believe me, folks, you’ve got to go. You’ll love it. Big league.

My local pub so I stopped to check for a spot to take visiting NFL pals. Was greeted by an industrial fan on the floor at entrance…blowing up dust & making noise. The Chill it seems…has no air conditioning that is effective so fans are running. Sticky bar & chairs makes me wonder about cleaning. Had a beer from the bottle but was not feeling safe to eat food nor use the bathroom for that matter. I think Kelsey’s or Boston Pizza is the cleaner & more comfortable choice to take my guests out for beer & wings & NFL fun in Waterloo.

Nice staff. Nachos were decent, but I've had better. Appreciate the free "chips" for bringing in a team.

I’ve only been there once for wing night and it was probably the worst wings I’ve ever had. Very small and overcooked.

Everything I've bought from here has been absolutely delicious. I recommend either the jalapeno mozza burger or the burrito. Be sure to drop in for their St. Patrick's day special, as the lamb stew was an easy 10/10.

Service is always good as the waitresses are always fast and efficient.

The only gripe I have is that the coleslaw is not very good, if at all. I've never seen apples or a mysterious orange dressing used in coleslaw before.
