Ordered the house special chop suey to go and was very disappointed. I expected with some vegetables like broccoli and mushrooms, but it was mostly bean sprouts with just a few small shrimp. I didn’t realize this until I got home, which is about 45 minutes away, so there was no way to have it corrected. Unfortunately, this experience was enough that I won’t be returning.
I was disappointed in the quality of the ingredients used. I ordered the general tsao chicken. The chicken was heavily battered with a lot of tendons/cartilage from what I suspect were chicken thighs. The sauce was watery and the broccoli overcooked. The pork balls were similar in that there was grizzle in the mix.

my favourite 💕10/10 simple and tasty
This place sucks for dimsum, everything was no better than frozen versions of the dish. The ho fun noodles tasted like nothing and the meat felt fake….
The service was good.

When I moved from my home town I had to search for a new Chinese Food staple - I found it in Crystal Palace. The women at the counter are always so kind and friendly, the food is homey and delicious and always on time. Thanks for the comfort food as always!

Food is good, it was a go to as I didn’t have to pay fees, just taxes and tip. Crystal Palace has now added service fees, like the online ordering platforms. Went to order my usual, usually paid around 18 with tip, now I tried to order and it was 21 and change with the service charges…well it was good but no to the extra almost 4 dollars! Time to find a new place, won’t be hard; lots of restaurants around.

A great mix of traditional and North America style food. A huge assortment of dim sum on a separate menu, some are not for the faint if heart, but overall great for most. The noodle dishes were fantastic, loved the smokey flavour of the Ho Fun. Be earned, lots of oil is used in a lot of the dishes and for some of us this could cause some unwanted digestion issues. Service was fast and friendly and we even got an explanation on some of the dishes that were new to us. Lots of free parking around the corner so even though it's in a very busy area, finding a place to park is not an issue. Restaurant seemed generally clean. It was odd to find it so quiet with most tables empty but most likely it was our timing. Over all a good experience, with the food being delicious, even though it left us with some minor digestive issues but nothing of concern.
