I recently tried the 'Surti Gotalo' and 'Hamtum Dices' at a restaurant in eggholic waterloo. While the 'Hamtum Dices' impressed with its delightful flavors, the 'Surti Gotalo' left much to be desired. As a native of Surat, I have a deep familiarity with this dish, and what was served didn't match my expectations at all. I believe if a dish is unfamiliar to the chefs, it shouldn't be named as such. Despite expressing my disappointment, the reception assured me of improvements in the future, but for that particular day, they could only offer apologies.Moreover, I encountered another issue during my visit. Despite placing an order for chapati, I was informed that it couldn't be served due to a large order from Uber or Doordash taking priority. Instead, I was advised to opt for bread, which was not what I had in mind. This lack of flexibility and attention to individual diners was disappointing, especially when I had specifically ordered two dishes to enjoy with chapati. Overall, while the ambiance was pleasant, the service and attention to detail fell short of expectations.
