Expect disgusting tofu stir fry's every other day, sticky tables, undercooked food, long lines, dirty plates/cups, and miserable staff whenever you go. Also, they tend to start closing an hour early, so good luck getting dinner after a late class. In addition to all of this (and the terrible portions I forgot to mention), they close at 8pm on Saturday and Sunday, so good luck getting dinner after your shift if you have a part time job. They blatantly disregard food safety which is why so many people get food poisoning here.
The worst part is, there are random occasions in which the food is actually good in both variety and quality. The problem is they are too lazy or cheap to consistently provide this for students.
Do not go to Laurier if you want good dining hall food or service. I gave up on this place and just started cooking my own food in res.

I mean its a joke.
I pay tuition to come here and this is what i have to eat. Multiple times ive found hair in my food and had close to raw meat. Ive talked to the main administrator about how doctors have diagnosed me with food poisoning which he was very knowledgeable about. He said how multiple kids have talked to him about this issue, Telling me how "they jump to conclusions." Even though he has no degree in anything related to health.
Conveying to me how I cant get out of this plan even with the health risks I've addressed with him. Telling me "a sore tummy isn't a good enough reason."
The older staff are nice. However, on multiple occasions they'll pick my food up and start cleaning the table, or spray chemicals on the same one I'm sitting at.

I think if it were like 50% the price then my rating would be higher. Floors and tables are basically always dirty, food is usually mediocre at best. They’ll put out old fruits and vegetables that are clearly beginning to go bad. The best tasting food they have is usually prepared, frozen foods. Incredibly unsanitary environment. Also watch out for this one cranky old guy staff member. All in all you’re paying way too much for pretty terrible service and food. Unless you have no choice because you need a meal plan, then don’t waste your money here.

Despite what people say about the food, it's actually fine. BUT GOD FORBID YOU BRING YOUR LAPTOP BAG IN HERE DURING DINNER. This has occurred more than once now, but one of the evening managers seem to have a vendetta against laptop bags, we all know that backpacks aren't allowed inside and that's understandable. BUT THIS ONE MANAGER SEEMS TO REALLY HATE LAPTOP BAGS DESPITE EVERYONE ELSE BEING FINE WITH IT??? LIKE ALL THE OTHER STAFF I'VE MET ARE FINE WITH IT??? God forbid I start choking on my laptop bag or start destroying the place with the mere presence of my laptop bag. If you think I'm overreacting, I am, but it's so inconvenient especially since I carry a wireless keyboard and mouse in it, and I even if I'm not using my laptop, I'd prefer it in the safety of my side.
The food here is anything but ordinary it's like what you imagine "white" people eat the no seasoned boiled chicken. If the build your own dishes is available I recommend doing that, the drink machine is mostly empty and they always got Kool aid but other than that their is always water. Now if Laurier sees this y'all aren't off the hook yet sometimes I don't even think these chefs eat what they cook like I have not once seen the white button downed linguine chef eat what is being cooked for food that day, like if you making the recipes eat ur food. Anyways the staff are great except maybe linguine. Overall service peak, atmosphere ok, food mid.

love the workers, they are all extremely nice, however the food is awful and I often feel sick after eating here, absolute scam to buy a meal plan, cooking my own food would be a billion times better however if you live in rez you are required to buy a meal plan.
Dietary restrictions: heaven forbid you are muslim or lactose intolerant, they essentially only serve food that has pork or dairy in it, they also dont do a great job of labelling what is halal or dairy free, there is chicken often as well, however there has been many cases of it being undercooked and people getting sick from eating it.
