Me and my wife have celebrated a date night here several times. We always go for the tasting menu. Best food in the city. We are never let down. Benoit and his team are exceptional. Always 5 star service.

The restaurant is amazing! Easy to say it might be the best one in town in my opinion. The food is great, unfortunately we arrived too late for the tasting menu (they serve it if you arrive by 7:00pm), but we had as a First the beet salad (great salad) and smoked squash agnolotti (one of my favorites of the night), as a Main the roasted celeriac and Iberico pork and for dessert the lemon cake. They also had a complimentary focaccia that was delicious. All drinks were amazing as well, but the highlight of the night was the Revolver. The service was provided by Benoit which was very knowledgeable, polite and attentive to us! I highly recommend!

Waterloo has been in need of an innovative dinning experience - leave it to the man from Bordeaux to bring it! The team at Trio has brought world class to Waterloo with Food & Wine Night. This night is themed with cuisine from different countries (France, Italy, Peru, etc) featuring local dishes with a wine pairing. While the food is phenomenal and authentic, the wine pairings are exceptional (as are the creatively themed cocktails!). Most importantly, the effort, enthusiasm and heart put into these evenings make for an unforgettable experience. As someone that travels to top food destinations consistently, I sincerely believe this competes with the best of them. Thank you Benoît and team for giving me something to look forward to in Waterloo... keep up the phenomenal work!!!

Overall very good experience. To be honest, the best part of the dining experience was the fresh bread with the whipped ricotta. Appetizer wasn't memorable IMO - ( some sort of duck filled pasta in a soup) Wagyu flatiron was very good but not great. Broccolini accompaniment was better tasting. Our Server, Jordan was great! And the purple rain as a cocktail was great! Overall, pretty good experience. However, would I come back? Not sure - it was a very pricey dinner for 2. Jordan was the star!

We did the tasting menu (with the Waygu added) Food was delicious but overall not worth such a large price tag. Service was either too much ie reach across us and topping up water after every single sip (a tad excessive) or sparse ie our drinks came out AFTER our first course (with no mention/apology for the wait) Also my martini that I ordered straight up came out with ice but it took so long to receive I didn't want to call someone over and wait even longer for them to fix it. There were other small service steps I feel were missed which normally I'd let slide, however when you are spending so much money you expect them to be met! Again, the food was delicious and filling but no more so than a meal I've paid 1/4 of the price for. Perhaps the a le cart menu would be a better choice over the tasting menu....unless you don't mind spending just over $500 (for 2 people) for the same service/food quality you can get at a lot of other higher end restaurants that are a fraction of the cost.

This was a special occasion meal and Trio did not disappoint. Top tier dining. Our table of four had the tasting menu and decided to add the extra course of the wagyu beef. It was perfection. Although they were short staffed, after a short delay in our initial drinks order, the service was seamless, attentive, and exceptional. I cannot do justice in describing the taste experience. Certainly worth the price for this dining treat. We are fortunate to have this restaurant treasure in our local area.

Great ambience and excellent service, but we found the tasting menu underwhelming. The best course was a mint ice-cream dessert which was truly fantastic. The confit salmon was cooked beautifully but the accompanying sauce did not really add anything. In general, most of the dishes were too acidic for our taste, and the flavours did not feel balanced. The portion sizes are quite generous though, so you definitely get well-fed.

TRIO is an exceptional restaurant in Uptown Waterloo and a welcome addition to the dining scene in K-W. Great food, incredible service and a warm atmosphere. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a higher-end dining experience.

We came on the tasting Tuesday culinary adventure - where they create unique dishes and pair them with wines. It was truly a fun and very tasty evening. Would highly recommend for a those who are okay with being surprised. ?

Went there for our late Valentine's Day dinner. We were showed to our table right away even though we were 20 minutes early. We were never rushed to order. We loved that the server explained to us how each dish was prepared, and that it was a team effort that the servers took turns in checking with us how the food was. We went there at the busy time, so it was understandable that it was not quiet. Overall, the ambiance, food and service were amazing and my husband and I see ourselves going back to Trio.

This was our first time coming to this restaurant and didn’t know what to except. Right from entering the restaurant to leaving the restaurant, the service was exceptional. The staff heightened the experience. We came for the tasting experience and Benoit recommend that we do the wine pairing as well. We opted for this for my wife, unfortunately I was driver this night. The food was exceptional and had great creativity! Each wine selected by Benoit was a spot on match to the course we were having. This man knows his wine, so don’t miss out on this one as it heightens the experience.Overall such a great experience and would recommend to anyone who loves fine dining!

We had the pleasure of dining at Trio on Valentine's Day, and it was an experience beyond compare. From the moment we stepped in, the attention to detail was evident. The ambiance was romantic, setting the perfect mood for the evening. Chef Benoit's culinary expertise shone through in every dish. Not only were they beautifully presented, but each bite was infused with intention and care. It was evident that he poured his heart into crafting each plate. What truly stood out was the warmth and hospitality extended by Chef Benoit himself. He was not only attentive but also genuinely welcoming, adding a personal touch to our dining experience. Overall, our evening at Trio was nothing short of magical. It's rare to find a place where every element, from the food to the service, comes together seamlessly. We left feeling nourished not just by the delicious food but by the genuine hospitality we received. We can't wait to return for another memorable dining experience!
