I always have a great time at Maxwell’s. All the staff are always very kind, and security is always making sure everyone is safe without sacrificing the show’s vibe. It’s a great place to see a show.

Security guards there need a reality check. Was on the phone talking to my boss, missed the no re-entry sign and when I came back in I obviously wasnt allowed back. Now thats on me, but I was trying to reason with one of the guards calmly talking and then all of the sudden this big bald guy started pushing me out escalating things without reason. I wasn't making a scene, not drunk, not yelling or screaming just talking and trying to be reasonable and your guard decided that it was appropriate to lay hands on me. What a joke.

fine space, mostly okay staff. would be 5 stars if the security didnt act like it was the merchant marines. like seriously, have some class for the patrons. Just because you look like a cop doesnt mean you must *act* like a cop

Talib Kweli had a great show. This is a great look for KW hip hop scene!

Meh. Good staff. Decent small concert venue.

This venue is...OK. the bathrooms are clean and $3 for a soda isn't too bad. However I can not in good conscience give this place more than 3 stars (it was going to be 2) for the following reasons. 1, they don't let you pay with card at the door. Instead you need to use an ATM that charges more money. The worst part of, they have a way do use tap at the bar so they can clearly do this which makes me think that they lack the will. This to me is a rip off. 2, they don't hand stamp so you can't leave the venue. The security guard was nice and let me and my friend stand outside the door as long as we didn't leave his eyeliner but there are signs saying no re entry.
As I say as a venue for small crowds it's basically fine-clean bathrooms, a small seating place and a smoking section outside that's fenced off- but I don't know if I will be coming back until they change their policies (seriously, I think Dollarama sells hand stamps) and I can't entirely recommend that anyone else does.

Awesome place to attend a concert

Went with family and friends to see a band. Second time at this venue, better prepared this time around. It was just as crowded as the first time. The bar gets through everyone fairly quickly. Not much in the way of seating so be prepared to stand for the night. Not many places to set down your drink. There is a coat check in the back corner. Bathrooms were fine. Not a bad place to listen to some live music if you don't mind standing the entire time.

Cool venue, good size

The staff are super friendly! They get some great bands in from near and far. Love how they can change the size of the venue to tailor it for each event.

Wild Collab World

The main concert venue in Waterloo, has featured bigger bands, local bands, and other community event options. This warehouse-type space, is usually open as either the smaller or larger half of the venue for local or smaller bands, and both for the larger bands. I imagine all three would be rental options. No matter if half or the whole venue is used, this bar hosts a fair sized stage, with pretty good acoustics.

Great venue. Was at the Danko Jones show and had a great time.

Big room with great stage and sound to see bands . GA spot though with minimal seating with tall tables. So if you don’t like standing not a place you want to go too.
