great food, fast service time, very good price. There's this small rectangular wood block under the table that my knee bumped into when I stood up, plz fix.
The food was not kept very sanitary. I got food poisoning within hours if eating here. The service is not very good. The price is too high for the quality of the food. I will not be eating Hot pot again.
Inside looks great, good atmosphere, love the music playlist, and very diverse variation of sides. However my friend found two dead flies in her sauce (from the self serve sauce bar area) and that raised a sanitary concern and made me loose appetite.
Went for the super spicy original (beef talllaw) in one half, and tomato in the other. It was fantastic. I actually thought it would be spicier. The dipping sauce you make for yourself makes a world of difference also. Go hungry!
As much as i dont want to give them 5 starts for selfish reasons like i dont want itbto be so packed i cant get a table but the food there is so fresh and yummy the staff are amazing me and the boyfriend went 2 nights in a row and we would probably go everyday if we could dont miss this hidden gem you will regret!!
This place went downhill when they switched to self serve skewers. Many of the pre prepared meats are marinated and wrapped around veggies but the marinade was way to heavy on cumin and gave it off flavours. This was one of my go-to places before they changed. In addition, a huge disappointment was no regular sliced meats, you can order sliced beef or lamb for additional costs to the already expensive price. I believe this is a build on sichuan cuisine but for a more traditional hotpot i would recommend Lil Pot in waterloo.
Hotpot no longer worth it. They changed to skewers with small pieces of marinated meat which you need to get yourself on the fridge. Also the veggies had a weird plastic-y smell and taste. Fresh meat cost extra money. The previous hotpot was good, but I will not come back for this skewer style hotpot again.
Beyond great customer service there isn’t much going for this place. All you can eat for 29.99 on Friday and weekend but then have to add on the soup base which ranges from $9~$17. FYI beef, lamb, and actual pieces of “fresh” meat are extra orders. It is okay if the cost is pricey if the food quality can match it. However the food does not come close to the price. Vegetables are rotting with some parts already liquified, chicken wings have a very strong ammonia taste to them, and seafood are kept in milky white water. Turns out the freshest food are the processed beancurds, meatballs, and fishcakes. The place is beautiful, the servers are attentive, but the whole experience was let down by what should have been the highlight: Food.
The best I can rate, expensive and low quality
Gives my friend and I stomach problem. Average taste. Way too expensive and be careful with the fridge. A couple of ppl hurt their fingers by closing the fridge because it closes too fast.
Restaurantji Recommends
Excellent food and customer service! I got all u can eat hotpot there with two of my friends. The food are fresh, and people there are very polite. Highly recommend.
Decent selection of meats and items. A little pricy as you pay for the soup separately as well, so it's worth it if you go with four people. Both lunch and dinner are the same price.
Excellent food and customer service! Highly recommend.
A bit pricy but worth it overall
Great hotpot, good service. The taste of beef balls was disappointing. I love the fried steamed buns with condensed milk.
