We enjoyed having various burgers, fries and onion rings. Nice employee. There are just small 3 tables in this Odd Burger. Updated from previous review on 2026-01-19

I came here for my first time by myself looking for a small, yummy bite. I asked what would be the best, he, Hem (the employee) told me it’s all yummy but he suggested some of his favs. I got a vegan parm chicken burger and it was so yummy! I’d come here again!

I always love eating at this Oddburger! Great service, delicious food and an ideal stop when exploring uptown Waterloo. I just wish they would open one up in downtown Guelph!

Came here for lunch and serendipitous ly they had a one day $5 famous burger special. Double patties. They have 12 days of specials up to the 16th. Can't complain

It’s unfortunate I have to leave this review. We’ve been coming to odd burger since it was globally local. The last 3 visits were sub par. The final straw was when the restaurant was a disgusting mess with sticky floors, behind the counter looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months and the food was inedible thanks to a baking soda taste. We spent over $50 for our meals that we couldn’t eat. The lady behind the counter couldn’t process a refund and when we reached out through the website they also denied our refund. The reply we were given was unacceptable, and frankly insulting. We won’t be going back.

Management needs to hire more staff. Every time we go here there is only 1 employee working and they're handling all the online orders plus in-store orders. Their system is down and ordering was a total mess.

Seems like TFW hotspot as the last 4 times in went they have not had locals working. This seems incongruent with a apparently local or Canadian vegan burger joint. Why will they not hire Canadian is beyond me. Vegan only fast food options !! They always have interesting promotions (check in the app) with new food that they're trying out with us! I think the last one was some kind of crazy Thanksgiving burger with cranberry and stuffing or something it was interesting! Soft serve ice cream is pretty good they have promotions for that occasionally I can't remember but there's something for your birthday as well. Take out is the way to go as they don't have much of a eat in option!

Love the food. Lobby and washrooms were just destroyed. We asked for it here and it was given in bags. But I had been hearing about this place for a while and the food did not disappoint.

The deliciousness of the new BBQ grilled chickun burger cannot be oversold!!! This was the best vegan chicken I have ever had. Its absolutely devine! I really hope they add this to the regular menu.

This is my favourite place to go to for quick vegan alternatives to fast food I loved prior to changing my diet. They have so many options to choose from. Nearly all items have been a reorder for me and super tasty. I've taken non-vegan family members here and they said they found it as enjoyable as their traditional meat & dairy options. Everything here is 100% vegan friendly so if you're vegetarian/vegan/plant-based you can order anything without worry. Many items have a gluten-free option (though gluten is used within the restaurant, so if you are allergic keep that in mind). There are lettuce leaf wraps for those wanting to choose a healthier option as well, though the menu is heavily geared more towards comfort replicas of fast food from other well-known chains. The menu items are about $1-2 more if you are making customizations for gluten-free substitutions or wanting to have add-ons. In general prices are more than you'd pay at a cheap fast food restaurant, but the food is far more filling and the ingredients feel higher quality, so the cost feels reasonable to me. The prices are within what I've paid at other vegan restaurants, so if you're familiar with those costs this won't be a surprise to your wallet at all. If you're also trying to support local with your purchases, Odd Burger is a Canadian chain, which many fast food restaurants here aren't. I recommend this place to everyone and anyone, especially those interested in seeing if plant based alternatives are something they'd like to try. As someone who's been vegan for 5 years now, Odd Burger is a testament that food made with plants can be equally as flavourful and enjoyable.

P.S. If Odd Burger sees this - would love if you guys added a vegan mac & cheeze dish/side. Also maybe see if vegan cheeze curds could be used for the poutine at some point, as I've seen these starting to become more available in Ontario now. Would pay extra for the option of curds over shreds. 👀 Consider adding an option for kids sized meals in the future maybe too.

I opted for the Holiday Poutine for my first Odd Burger experience because it was Thanksgiving weekend, after all. The flavours were good, but the cranberry sauce was missing from my order. I quite enjoyed the soft-serve, and I’ll definitely return to a location closer to home to try a burger or breakfast sandwich next time.

I love getting fast vegan food. But I feel like this location could do better. Every time we go there is only one person working. I feel bad because they are always rushing to do everything.

Something that was once great has gone downhill over the last couple years. We were day 1 repeat customers when this location got built. However over the last couple years their quality control and staffing levels have really gone down hill despite the rising prices.

I ordered a Chicken Cordeau Blue last week that was missing its ham slice. Tried calling this location's phone number but went to voicemail. Emailed their customer support last week with a picture of the food and receipt and was ghosted.

This isn't the first occurrence for us with food not being made correctly with the proper ingredients (we previously ordered the pricy crispy chicken party platter that wasn't made correctly).

This is on top of the fact they seem to ever have only 1 employee working at a time. In retrospect this is probably contributing to food being made incorrectly by rushing it out during busy periods.

I'm disappointed that the focus is to get food out quickly with minimal staff and training, as the food does taste good when made correctly as it used to be.

We've given enough chances including this last resort of contacting support but seems like they don't care, so I guess we won't be eating here anymore.
