this may seem to be an unsuspecting sushi spot from the outside, but this is by far some of the greatest sushi i have tried (including several sit-down ayce places) and easily the best price i’ve ever seen (daily set special). they are very generous with the amount of fish they put in their rolls. this is an absolute must try and if the topic of sushi ever comes up in future conversation, this is the place i will be recommending 11 times out of 10

Oka Sushi in Waterloo absolutely blew my mind. The freshness, quality, and flavours are on another level. It’s an incredibly small nook of a shop just minutes from both universities, with little to no dine-in space — yet it still gives all those all-you-can-eat sushi spots a serious run for their money. No joke, don’t be surprised if people start lining up around the block. A true hidden gem! 🍣✨

I happened upon this place while looking for a new sushi spot at the start of the year, and I cannot recommend it enough. As a student trying not to break the bank when it comes to meals, their 2 for $10 special is as good as it gets. On top of that, they are always very friendly and unbelievably fast when it comes to fulfilling orders. Definitely check them out!
