Worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I ordered pineapple fried rice and received a completely different rice dish. Because Uber does not offer refunds for this restaurant, I contacted the restaurant directly to correct their mistake.

The person who answered the phone was rude from the beginning, but became shockingly dismissive and hostile once she realized I could not come into the store that day because I am sick (which is the reason I used Uber Eats in the first place). Even after I offered to come in on another day when I was no longer sick, her tone completely changed and I was told, “Welp, there’s nothing we’re gonna do about it.”

What makes this unacceptable is that we both had access to my original order, which clearly says pineapple fried rice, yet they still insisted that the incorrect dish I received was what I ordered. No apology. No replacement. No refund. No attempt at a solution—despite me offering multiple reasonable options.

This restaurant takes zero accountability, dismisses customers outright, and refuses to fix clear errors unless it’s on their exact terms. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful.

Save your money. If something goes wrong, they will not help you. I will never order from here again.

Overall Ben Thanh is quite good. Both service and quality of food has been consistent and flavorful. Although prices have increased, the portions are huge, one dish can easily serve 2-3 people.

Ben Thanh has been consistently outstanding for the almost 10 years I’ve lived in Waterloo. The service is quick, my favourite pho dish is always delicious and served perfectly, the drinks and appetizers - always 10/10. I love Ben Thanh and hope they never change

Place has become so overpriced it's more expensive than the steakhouses of KW. Beef ribs - you get about 6/7 flat pieces of beef (maybe 5 ounces of beef if you're lucky) so chewy you'd think it was moose meat and they charge $24.00 for it. One of the top steakhouses in town you can get a 16oz ribeye for $50. Got a plate of shrimp and broccoli with about 8/9 pcs of shrimp and a few pcs of green and they wanted $22.00 for that. Used to be a decent restaurant at one point, but has definitely become a complete waste of money!
Totally unimpressed and highly unrecommended!!!

So disappointed. I ordered the 303. It is supposed to come with meatballs and they weren't. I don't understand when its the meatball vermicelli.

Ordered off Uber and the red curry beef was so underwhelming. $20 dish that came with 4 pieces of beef and the curry sauce was just so boring and plain. The mango salad was okay but came with maybe the total of 4 crushed cashews/peanuts. Worst Thai food experience I've had yet.

Excellent experience, quick service, attentive server, hot food, top quality, delicious. We got Korean short ribs, honey garlic chicken and coconut curry seafood. Amazing!
