Very relaxed environment, friendly staff, and the person taking my order was so nice they also recommended what they personally liked. Would definitely go back. Got the strawberry matcha drink and the ginger molasses cookie. Quick service too but because it wasn’t busy, 10/10.

Pilot coffee is one of the best places in Waterloo. Inside atmosphere is pleasant and baristas are always kind.

Just had a croissant, espresso, and cappuccino. Everything was wonderful and fresh. Service prompt and friendly. Google doesn’t have a value rating, but I always include that in overall rating. While all categories were 5 stars, I had to remove one overall star because I found the prices higher than other coffee shops. I do factor in that coffee prices have risen recently.
Parked in a free lot a short walk away.

Loved where it is located and how cozy it looks. Ordered an espresso and a decaf cappucino. Both the baristas were kind and nice. The coffee, we didn't enjoy it. My capp was too bitter, the coffee was extremely bitter and I never add any sugar or any other sweetener. The espresso had notes of other flavours and we just like plain espresso coffee flavours.
If you are into flavoured coffee this might be your coffee place. I did not take more than 2 sips of my capp.
Didn't try any of the food.

Went and got a lemon loaf and a cold brew. It was nearly $15, which wouldn't be a huge deal if the lemon loaf was not stale.
At that price you cannot be selling food that is stale. The nitro cold brew was decent, but not anything out of this world. Disappointed by the freshness of the food and how expensive it was for the food.
It had good service and atmosphere, but for $15 you can't be serving things that are stale.

My favourite Waterloo cafe! The drinks are always so yummy (can taste the quality of the beans) and I love the seasonal offerings. Also love how airy and bright the atmosphere is. It’s a great study spot or place to catch up with friends.
