We ate on the patio which was a little cramped. Service was terrible. Food was mediocre.
Kitchener is MUCH better for all three in my opinion!!!
I went to Piper’s Arm with family visiting from abroad — including a newborn — for a casual dinner. This was their first dining experience in Canada, and sadly, it couldn’t have gone worse.
Upon arrival, despite the place not even being that busy (I’ve seen it packed before, and this wasn’t one of those nights), the barista immediately told us we should’ve made a reservation. This, despite the fact they regularly take walk-ins, including large groups.
The server then repeated the same message, and from there, rushed us through ordering like we were an inconvenience. She was short, dismissive, and clearly prioritizing her other tables. Every question we asked about the menu was brushed off — she even said someone else would have to explain it to us.
When I asked to speak with a manager, staff refused to provide contact information and falsely claimed to be the manager themselves. It escalated to the point where they were taking photos of me with their phone and asking me to leave — completely unprofessional and borderline harassment. I was told I’m “not welcome back,” when the truth is, we never felt welcome at all.
To make matters worse, this was the first impression my visiting family had of dining out in Canada. Fortunately, Crabby Joe’s nearby gave us a warm welcome and turned the night around.
Piper’s Arm is a basic pub and grub — nothing unique about the food. When service is the only thing that sets you apart, this kind of treatment is exactly what drives business away.
I’m also requesting contact information for the actual manager or owner. What happened should not be brushed off.
The customer is always right — never forget that.
The food was good but we had to wait for so long to get served and get our beverages. The poor waitress looked like she was serving every table there. They need more staff present!
Good place to come with friends or teammates , especially during big sporting events . It's a pub with pub food , wasn't expecting anything over the top but always enjoyable. Staff is great there , our server Annisa killed it 👏 quick and ontop of everything making it the best experience.
Sophia and Sandeep provided excellent service and also made sure that we are enjoying our meal and if not they can replace it which they did.
I want to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, and I understand that with the NBA game on, tonight was a busy night. However, I simply can't. I am very disappointed, to say the least. I just walked through my front door after my meal and started writing my first Google review ever. My girlfriend and I arrived around 7:30 and both ordered a burger around 8:05. We sat there, waiting, waiting, waiting, until 9:42 when we were served our meals. Upon a squeeze test to see how juicy the burger was, it became apparent that the fries produced more grease simply sitting on the plate than these burgers did after a firm squeeze. The onion ring on my girlfriend's was cold to the touch, how that's possible in 43 degree celsius weather is beyond me. Having both worked in the industry, it was painfully obvious what had happened, the burgers were unseasoned, overcooked, and then left on the pass for too long. I ate my whole burger as after waiting for 2 hours, and being a big guy, I was starving. My girlfriend, however, sat there eating her fries, which I have to admit were decent, until the waiter came, sending hers back under the promise of getting a menu and ordering again. 12 minutes, timed by iPhone stopwatch (going full Karen I know), went by before the menu, located 10 feet away, came to us. By that time, we had had enough, asked for the bill, paid, and got out of there. McDonald's on the way home produced a better burger. Genuine numbered scores: Drinks - 7/10, food 2/10 (saved by the fries), and service 3/10.
Been coming to Piper Arms for years and always loved the food but experience with takeout was horrible. Much of my chilly chicken was over fried to the point that it was inedible. The fries with ribs were drenched with ketchup I never asked for.

Andrew is the best bartender ever, 10/10 would recommend
Friendly service. Service was a bit slow. We were there at 1230pm. Had the butternut squash salad. It was bland. Would not recommend. Music was too low. An ok place to go to, but will try something new if in the area again.

I can’t recommend this place enough! Luiza was our server and she was so amazing. She was so kind and personable and truly went the extra mile to make sure all of our needs were met. I had never been here before but she helped me pick out the perfect drink and meal and I loved both. It was also so busy but we didn’t wait long for anything because she provided us with such amazing service.

Had a couple of beers at the bar. Price was fantastic at $4.95 a full pint. The bartender, Luiza, was friendly and super efficient. Have never had a bad experience there. would highly recommend it.
