One of my favourite restaurants. This review is based on my order in July, which we had delivered to our hotel room. We had vegetable spring rolls (good), spicy broccoli roll (delicious), sweet spicy garlic fried chicken (delicious) and vegetable sunomomo (okay but a little too vinegary). The food arrived at a good temperature and tasted fresh.

Katsu is very thin and dry, coming with little rice, not worth $15 at all.Salmon Sashimi - Salmon is not as fresh as competitors, thin, and boring texture.Chirashi Don - says assorted. Assorted=Comes with Salmon sashimi, Tuna sashimi, Tamago(egg), boiled shrimp(blend), and crab (fake crab). Charging $20, not worth it at all.I’m very disappointed and you could have much better Japanese food at other places with similar price and larger portion.Do not order online.

I have been here numerous times and I've always had a wonderful experience! I usually come here for lunch as they have lunch specials so it is a bit cheaper compared to their regular prices! Their portions were good, the restaurant was clean and the food was made very fast! The servers are attentive and nice. Overall, great experience here!

Very disappointing experience at Sakura Island today, which is unfortunate since I’ve had better experiences in the past but will be very hesitant to go back after today.Once our food was delivered, the waitress rushed away and did not return, I tried to say something and couldn’t get her attention, that is how quickly she was gone. Our water was empty by that point, and we received no offer for a refill until we had completed our entire meal. They never came by to ensure everything was ok and we had everything we needed, which was unfortunate since I wanted additional ginger for with my sushi. No water, no additional ginger. We even attempted to flag her down several times without success.A member of our party ordered noodle soup, and there was a piece of plastic in the bowl of soup. This was pointed out to the waitress and she kind of laughed, she didn’t even apologize or offer anything to remedy the situation. I cannot believe there was no remedy to the situation of plastic being served in a meal that someone had to pull out of their mouth.Also, the sushi was mediocre at best, way too much spicy mayo. There are much better options in town.My biggest issue with this experience was the lack of service, and lack of remedy to the situation of Sakura Island serving their customers plastic. If there is plastic in the food and they don’t even care, it really makes me question the quality of the rest of their food.Sakura Island lost a customer today.
