In reference to a previous comment, I want to be very clear about why this review was written.

I was charged an extra fee for using my credit card. I am not a student, and this had nothing to do with a student-only offer. When I asked about the charge, the staff member was rude and dismissive and made it clear that my only option was to pay the extra credit fee. That is not a misunderstanding. That is exactly what happened.

Please don’t dismiss customer experiences by saying this policy doesn’t exist when customers are being charged in person. Reviews aren’t written for fun or out of boredom. They’re written because something went wrong and deserves to be called out.

Transparency and basic respect would have prevented this entirely.

I recently tried Shawarma Plus and was impressed by how clean and tidy the shop is. I ordered the Chicken Saj—the sandwich size is great and definitely fills you up. At $51 for three Saj wraps and two drinks, it felt like a fair deal for the portion size.

The flavor was good, though the chicken felt a bit dry compared to other spots I’ve tried where the meat is juicier. One thing to note is that the prep area is tucked away, so you can't see the sandwiches being made, and it seemed like the chicken wasn't cut fresh off the spit for my order. However, I still enjoyed the meal and would definitely eat here again!

I placed an order from uber eats. I am shocked to see this quality. The meat was very dry and was not fresh. Seems like a 1-2 days old chicken.
We couldn’t finish the food and we threw it out

The food is awesome and tastes great. But there is a serious issue and I dont know if the manger knows about it or not. But every night at 9pm I call to ask for shawarma poutine and I get told that their sold out until the next day.. i dont think thats true it feels like the employees are lazy and dont want to do it because its been more then 10 times this happens to me. Really not acceptable.

Not that good of a shawarma. Charges you extra dollar to switch pickles to tomatoes which is ridiculous.

Idk where all these great reviews come from. There are so many great shawarma places everywhere especially In Comparison to this place. Speed and friendliness aren’t going to bump this from a 1 star. Especially when my food is cold and undercooked.

We got chicken on the sticks and rocks. Nothing to be said about it other than that the chicken is incredibly thin and poorer quality than what you’d expect at fast food places. If temu sold produce, id imagine this is how it would taste. Cheap and flavourless. Even with the mounds of sauce whatever it was it tastes like nothing seasoned with some wet freezer burn, with the garlic sauce just tasting like mayo. No heat, seasoning or nothing.

Even the fries were terrible. Undercooked wet freezer burnt mush. How do you mess up fries? The good here is actual garbage and idk about anyone else but I don’t like paying for garbage but I’d goto osmos or even ace over this place. If 1001 was B tier, this place would be F.

Save yourself some money and disappointment and go to the street to sultans or even mozys. You’ll get twice the amount of MUCH better food for the same price.

This place sucks and I hate sounding so harsh but i doubt I’d go back even if they offered to comp my food

Fries are really really subpar. Do not get anything with their fries. Chicken Shawarma impossibly dry, the opposite of juicy. With so many shawarma places in the immediate vicinity, just go elsewhere.

Great place across the board! Had a catering request, found out that online pricing is outdated and incorrect, but they were kind enough to accept the match. Food was delicious, would recommend.

Best authentic shawarma in all of KW. Staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. Food is very affordable and since it’s near campus it’s the best place for shawarma.

I genuinely have never had such an amazing falafel wrap in my life. I was obsessed and scarfed that thing down like my life depended on it. Delicious and fast. This will be my hyperfixation for a LONG time. Had to give a review. So yum. So delish. Worth the walk from campus. I was tired and hungry and this brought my energy back 100000000%. Yum.
