I’ve been a loyal Starbucks customer for years, but my recent visit to the 450 Columbia St (Waterloo) location was shockingly disappointing. The barista barely acknowledged me while taking my order, rushing through it like I was an interruption. Then, my drink took forever because the entire staff seemed hyper-focused on mobile orders—ignoring the people who actually showed up in person. To top it off, the staff were laughing and joking behind the counter while customers waited. What happened to Starbucks’ famous customer service? I don’t mind waiting if the staff is friendly, but this felt disrespectful. Management, please train your team better—this isn’t the experience we pay premium prices for.

All the good reviews about their baristas are from years ago. The baristas here NOW have a terrible attitude; tipping them can’t stop their arrogance. The drinks are terrible too compared to other Starbucks.
⚠️There was trash on the floor, like candy and nails, which ruined my shoes😟

The manager & staff at this location are amazing ; great customer service always welcoming & smiling remmber your name and your order I just can’t say enough about them & how much I appreciate starting my day with a great cup of coffee and welcoming energy & smiles despite it’s always busy thank you ..

It is a typical Starbucks staff are nice atmosphere is ok food is expensive but usually good. Love the coffee so go there especially for the dark roast Americano.

Starbucks is the greatest. This place has great staff - friendly, knowledgeable, patient and very polite. I love the lattes.

First order was a hot drink which is fine - i used to work in food service! People make mistakes. Problem is the second order was a cold drink this time, but made with milk and whip cream, which I cannot have. I now have two drinks im unable to have but I guess i’ll know for next time. Lady on the phone was very kind and accommodating, i’m sure it’s a fluke everyone has them just something to note for any other people out there who can’t drink dairy

Very nice staff, have not messed up my order at all yet.As for food and beverage, it is a Starbucks… you probably already know if you like it or not.
