Our food was served with two pieces of boba under the plate. When we ordered ice cream, the spoon had a green thing on the handle (it looked like seaweed). It didn’t look clean at all. The food was also not good. To make the experience worse, a female staff member was unfriendly and rude. We will never go back here.

I cannot say enough good things about Sushi 99. From the moment you walk in, you’re met with nothing but kindness and care, and it truly shows in every single detail. The head chef is one of the kindest humans I’ve met and a true master of his craft — you can feel the passion, pride, and love he puts into every dish. I genuinely have never loved sushi the way I love his sushi. It’s on a completely different level.
And don’t even get me started on the cheese wontons — they are INCREDIBLE. I have searched all over Southern Ontario and have yet to find anything that even comes close. They’re unmatched. Every visit feels special, welcoming, and consistently amazing. The food, the people, the atmosphere — it’s all perfection. Sushi 99 isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience, and I’ll forever be a loyal customer. 🍣✨

Always a pleasure eating here. The fish is always fresh, the price is affordable, and the staff are quite nice!

I tried this place for the first time today and it surprised me how good it was and how the restaurant was not busy. The server was very attentive, and quick. The sushi came out very fast and the fish was delicious and rice was soft and fluffy. The price is very good for what you get here.

How could this place possibly have a 3.8 star rating?!
I was really looking forward to some good sushi and went in with an opened mind and tried to look for the positive but it quickly went down hill from there.
Food was awful, server was wearing filthy clothes, entire restaurant smells like a urinal cake or a urinal scented aerosol spray. Its going to take some time to get that foul odour out of my face. Walls have noticeable water damage. Food had zero flavour. Couldn't wat to leave.
NEVER AGAIN

TLDR - This place makes good sushi and side dishes. Well established and I would come here again as I have for the last few years.
I've been going to sushi 99 for years. Never wrote a review. But the last time I was there last week I decided I'd share because I was thinking about it.
I think this particular place has alot going for it. If not the decor which has always been a bit to dark for my taste- I do and have enjoyed the sushi and other dishes that they serve here with many a friend or family. They are well established and have been at that location for a long while and the last time I was there I was served by Jeet and also a lovely lady whom I didn't get the name of. Usually the food is good but this time around it was very good! Flavors were on point and the meats we ordered weren't over cooked and had the perfect amount of sauce and or marinade on them.

This place has really improved over the years. Highly recommend as an affordable middle-ground sushi spot.
Great variety of food items. Sashimi was fresh and served on ice. Rolls were tasty and they had some unique ones. The only items that needed improvement were some of the beef dishes (enoki rolls and beef teriyaki were both overcooked/tough). The fried items like tempura and fried cheese wontons were done very well, not too oily or mushy. My favourite was the king roll and the fried coconut milk dessert.
Service was great and the restaurant was quiet and relaxing with many booths available. We love sushi but can't afford to always go to the super fancy places that are $50/person. Overall this was a great experience for what the price was and we will be back. We paid with cash and got a 10% discount. Total came to $134 before tip for 4 adults.

Good experience bringing our 3-yr-old along to dine, for $4.
Service was a little slow, but nothing we couldn't wait as we talked with friends. Nice open atmosphere. Food seemed above-average quality. As with many other all-you-can-eat places, they use a tablet for placing orders.

I went for lunch with my son. We were greeted my Wendy, a very friendly staff. My son asked for a specific seat, with no hesitation, she looked around and smiled indicating that the seat was available.
Service was prompt. Wendy brought our drinks answered my son's questions quietly.
My son placed his order on the tablet provided and within five minutes,b the first order was on our table.
The salmon hand rolls are my favorites. Other orders followed in such timely manner.
Jeet at the counter was quite knowledgeable about the various dishes and a very polite and respectful young man.
The food was fresh, tasty and appetizing.
The teriyaki salmon was a bit too salty for me because I don't eat too much of salt.
The tempura veggies were delicious.
All in all, I will truly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
I enjoyed my lunch with my son.
Thank you staff at sushi 99

They updated the new price for dinner AYCE is 32.99 +tax, that’s definitely not worth with the quality of food. The menu is not too many, sashimi is not fresh as I expected. With this price you can find another restaurant that’s better.
Moreover, they don’t have wifi access for customer :<<<

Worst place to eat. The owner is a very bad person and doesn't know how to behave with people.
Hard pass! Preferably go for Sushi California in Kitchener area than this garbage.

Half the table was cold, other half was really hot...in fairness though they we experiencing air conditioning issues that day and we arrived 1hr & 30 minutes before closing time. Overall all great experience. This was the only place my cousin wanted to go for his birthday family dinner. He turned 4 years.

I’ve been coming here for years and since (I think new owners that are Indian ) took over it’s very run down! The waiter was wearing a dirty shirt and I saw him on a few occasions picking his nose and then serving me my food; finding it to be very dirty there; today there was food on the plate that was at my spot. Thinking they need to learn more hygiene while working in the food industry! The original sushi maker is still there and making the best sushi ever tho and THATS why u keep coming back
