Overall, the food was good, with plenty of options for dietary restrictions. Our waiter, who had the aura of someone who meditates before each shift, recommended the lamb to my partner. It was good, not great, nothing to write home about but yet here we are.
The atmosphere was lovely and vibrant. It was a bit noisy, but it was a Saturday night. The drinks were very expensive but delicious.

The dinning experience here is always top notch. Everything from food, drink, and desserts are incredible. On top of that, the servers are very sweet & personable.

For a spot that so many people talk about, my first - and likely last - visit was not a great experience.

The Good: very friendly staff, great atmosphere, good variety in their menu - including a decent selection of meals for those on a restricted diet (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc), and plenty of parking. Food was fresh and cooked well. Noise level was not too bad - I was meeting a business contact and we were able to converse easily.

The Bad: our server definitely forgot about us for at least half an hour while we waited to order our food after we asked for 5 minutes (not 35!) with the menu. She didn't even come back over into our general area for us to wave her down. I had to get up and go to the bar area to ask if she could come take our order. While accompanying me back to our table, she also checked in with the table beside us which meant she had also forgotten about them. So the service was definitely not good. Additionally, the salad I had did not have near enough dressing possibly because I included chicken, but that should be accounted for in the kitchen. Unfortunately while the ingredients individually were good and fresh, the salad was dry and therefore disappointing. Dare I say that I've had a similar, but tastier, salad at Kelsey's which is quite unfortunate given the reputation of The Bauer Kitchen.

Overall, it was a very disappointing visit to a Charcoal Group restaurant. I was really hoping to be raving about the meal I had today. Quite unfortunate.

We got a private room for our 11 people. I had Tuscan chicken with French fries which was delicious. One person had a birthday and brought her a free dessert with sparkle.

The Bauer Kitchen will always be a favourite restaurant for me. Our server Andrew was fantastic - very attentive and friendly and bent over backwards for myself and my friend! The food was phenomenal as usual. Can’t wait to go back again soon!

The Bauer Kitchen in Waterloo has an amazing atmosphere and a great vibe. The food was delicious, and the menu is well thought out with options for everyone, including a large gluten-free and vegan section. The drinks were also really good. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow and not very attentive. I’ll definitely be back to give it another go and hope it was just a one-off experience.

Great place to eat. Found it difficult to have a conversation with others in my group. Duck wings are amazing.

Went today to celebrate a birthday with a large party. Overall I can appreciate the patience with our group, especially having little ones and allowing us to bring an outside cake.

The food itself was decent with no major complaints. The minor issue was two meals came out considerably late.

The service is where I struggled on giving them 5 stars. It started off well, and even had the manager comp the meals that came out late. When it came time for the bill, it seems we angered our server by simply advising her that we got charge for an extra drink. She rudely took our receipt and came back the tossed the receipt on the table saying there you go. When we look at the receipt she removed the drink, however added the small Caesar salad that she said she would give to our daughter without charge. Again, I don’t mind paying for what my kid ate but this was petty. I’m not sure how this set her off, but ultimately showed immaturity and soured the experience. The bill payed and we left without causing issues.

Maybe just having a bad day or something, but we won’t be returning again.

I recently visited this restaurant for Valentine's Day with a group of four and was impressed by the excellent service provided by our waiter. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic night out and the decor was beautiful.

We all ordered separate meals and desserts, and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and the ingredients were fresh. However, the portion size was a bit disappointing, as we all felt hungry at the end of the meal. It would have been better if the portions were a bit larger.
