It was good. I had a churro and that was good too. I had the burrito which reasonably simple but tasted good. Someone I was with had the cactus enchilada which she really enjoyed. They had lots of vegetarian options. the washrooms were very clean too.

Tried Mexican for the first time and it was a wonderful experience. Great food. Will visit again.

The one that comes with pineapple chunks tasted great. Had a very nice flavor. Thats the one we liked the most.

WOW, the best Mexican food I’ve had in years. Better than most places in the GTA. Got guac and chips, birria, shrimp and fish tacos. All were amazing and the homemade sauces are perfection. Recommend this place looking for authentic flavourful Mexican!!

Delicious food!

What are the most authentic Mexican places I've ever been to in North America? Love this place. The food was amazing. The natural hot sauce that they make in-house the chips. I highly recommend if you want to make a run for the border!!!

The Cactus Mexican Restaurant has amazing food with bold, authentic flavors. The portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Whether you’re dining in or getting takeout, the service is quick and the prices are reasonable. A great spot for delicious Mexican food—I’ll definitely be back!

We just had our first meal at The Cactus Restaurant in Waterloo. The food was amazing, service great and atmosphere very enjoyable and casual. It felt like we were in a small restaurant in Mexico.
Our waiter was excellent at making recommendations on what to order. We split a pulled pork taco plate with four delicious tacos, and an enchilada plate with four wonderful enchiladas.
We had reservations at 7:15pm, and when we arrived the place was full. We waited 5 minutes until our table was cleared, however didn’t mind because we got to talk to other customers waiting in line for their tables. They all were repeat customers and gave us several recommendations as to what were their favourites and what to order.
Their margaritas were amazing as well and were served in the authentic Mexican glasses. They were fantastic! I’d say 80% of their patrons were Mexican or Latino which to me is a huge indicator that the food and service are very good.They were right it was!
I’d definitely recommend trying the Cactus restaurant.
