Their apple fritter with ice cream and homemade caramel sauce is such a delight đâ¤ď¸!!!
The fritter comes out hot and crisp, the ice cream adds the perfect creamy balance, and the caramel sauce is smooth, rich, and not overly sweet.
Every bite feels warm and comforting, almost like a little homemade treat. đ
On summer days the line outside can look long, but it moves quickly and once you take that first bite, youâll know itâs worth the wait.âşď¸âşď¸

Avoid at all costs â abysmal service and zero care for customers
First-time customer here, and I can confidently say I will never return. This business seems to have completely forgotten that the customer is the lifeblood of any operation. Huge lines and hyped-up popularity appear to have made the staff completely indifferent to anyone actually paying their bills. Waiting 30â40 minutes in line only to be told your item is sold out is unacceptable. A simple heads-up would save people an enormous amount of time, but apparently, thatâs too much to ask.
The disaster didnât end there. I ordered the #4 on the menu, which is supposed to be an apple fritter with ice cream and caramel sauce. My expectation: a classic sugar/cinnamon-coated apple fritter. What I received: a naked, bland fritter with no sugar coating whatsoever. When I asked why, I was told that because it already had caramel, they donât coat itâseriously? How would any first-time customer know this? Asking politely for the regular sugar-coated fritter was met with refusal. The only âsolutionâ offered was to sprinkle sugar on top, which is completely unacceptableâthe sugar needs to adhere to the batter while fresh.
The sheer lack of customer service is mind-boggling. They had the opportunity to satisfy a paying customer in 30 seconds, yet chose to ignore my requests and only offered a refund. Unbelievable. This isnât just bad serviceâitâs non-existent service. I hope the owners one day realize that customers are the heart of a business, but with attitudes like this, it might be too late.
This experience has been utterly disappointing, frustrating, and infuriating. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place entirely.

Overall - Sure the wait sucks but its absolutely worth it in the end when you get to chow down on these absolutely delicious apple fritters. I have no idea how anyone could give a poor review for this place.
Food - I have only ever gotten the Apple Fritters and every single time I have our family has been more than impressed with them.
Service - As mentioned, the line is long but its because everyone wants them. The staff do their best to move you through the line as quickly as possible and they are always friendly and kind.
Atmosphere - No complaints, grab yourself a breakfast sandwich before you get in line and just enjoy the atmosphere of the busy St Jacobs market while you wait for your fritters.

Line up is extremely long. Lined up at 2:50PM today. Waited 40 minutes and apparently they close at 3:30PM. By 3:30PM, I was near the front of the in line and they said everything is sold out. Over 50 people sent away. Wasted 40 mins. If they close at 3:30PM, they should close the line earlier and serve everyone in line. Ridiculous policy. Not recommended.

Youâd never think fried apples could be this delicious, especially paired with ice creamâbut thatâs the magic here. The first time our friends brought us, we had to try it, and it was phenomenal. The apple, wrapped in cinnamon, isnât overly sweet after being fried, and the ice cream complements it perfectly, creating a surprising balance. The hot-and-cold contrast bursts with flavor in every bite. On our second visit, the line was almost doubling backâstretching over 15 meters even around 8 a.m.âbut itâs totally worth the hype.

The line up is insane every time when we came to St Jacob Market. Not sure if it is because of the taste or people just like to line up because everyone is lining up here. The ice cream fritter combo is very nice after lining up for 1 hour. We also got half dozen fritters to take home to enjoy đ

Long line but moved quickly. Prices reasonable.
*I was very surprised to notice that the workers in the hot and very busy kitchen all had their hair up, BUT none of them wore hairnets!

Delicious! Fresh! So good!!! Finally got my hands on these popular apple fritters!!!
Last time I went, I waited in line but they sold out. This time I was able to get some and they tasted sooo good!! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The apples are the perfect level of acidity and if you eat this with ice creamâŚoh my god itâs perfection.
They also had great customer service, I asked for one without cinnamon sugar and they gladly prepared for us. Staff were friendly and kind.
Worth the wait.

Full on scam and rudeness at cash counter. They charge 13% HST for value less than $4 even though only federal tax of 5% should have been charged. I understand it's not a very big amount but accepting the mistake and correcting it should have gone long way.
Even the fritter was not good very thick coating and very less apple . Not worth the wait in the sun
