Got briefly kicked out after I traded spots with a friend who was being grinded against. The grinding guy later tried to start a fight, grabbing me by the collar and yanking, with me not fighting him at all, but I still got told to leave for "being in the fight" a bit after he got removed. My female friends backed me up that I didn't do anything aggressive at all (and we were let back inside after that), but being told to step outside over protecting friends from assault by trading spots and not even doing so much as raising open hands is a very bad sign for this establishment's attitude towards assault. Security said that this guy claimed that I was "stealing his girl", which probably should have raised red flags over him, when I was later just dancing with my friends.

I came here looking for a bite to eat as I was on my way back to Toronto and never been here. I was having a great time until I called the manager over and asked him what that was in my chicken strip. It felt like plastic or rubbery and was disgusted to find it in my chicken strip. He immediately took it to the back and showed the chef and said they never seen that before. This is where it all went downhill. The manager on duty was very rude and condescending as if I had hatched an idea to get a free meal which by the way the whole menu is only $8. He initially said he can’t comp the meal as I ate most of it which shocked me. I just had the most disgusting piece of chicken and could’ve thrown up just thinking about what that was and he didn’t want to comp the meal. Eventually he did but I asked him what about my beer to which he said “what is wrong with your beer?” I looked at him saying Nothing is wrong with the beer it’s actually quite good and needed it to wash that disgusting piece of chicken down. He said he can’t comp the beer as there was nothing wrong with it. I couldn’t believe it and went over to him holding my beer saying this is unbelievable. He again said nothing is wrong with the beer and then proceeded to take the rest of my beer about half a pint left and pour it down the drain. I asked him why would he do that as I need a drink still to wash that chicken down. This is when he pulls out a glass and hands me some water. I said I ordered the beer and would’ve liked to finish it I couldn’t understand what his problem was. He said he can’t have me finish the beer if I wasn’t gonna pay for it. I absolutely was in shock the manager had poured my beer down the drain. This was the worst experience I even said to him if I get sick after eating that chicken you guys can get sued and his response was “are you sick now?”. I said it doesn’t happen right away. This manager should not be managing any establishment and I’m shocked at the way he had handled this.

I normally love coming here but me and my friends came Thursday afternoon for some drinks. We ordered a round of drinks for ourselves and we were told that since we did not leave a tip, she was going to refuse us service. We’re all university students, and I believe that a tip should not be expected. Tips are for people who provide good service in which our waitress did not from the moment we sat down.

Entry is free and you can get good vibes as well. Only one issue there is space is too tight because of dinning area. But still you can get any drink you want. Never run out of drinks, at least it's never happened to me

Pub on king is the premiere Waterloo cheap eats. Inexpensive food, good beer and a nice pub vibe (at least at the times I go) I highly recommend the beef dip
What a great place! All plates are $7.95 - seriously! Not huge, but at that price, buy two! The server was efficient and courteous and the atmosphere has that old world pub feel. Highly recommend!

Great Mac and cheese. The chili cheese tater tots are real good too. Parking is a bit odd but we managed to find a place on the street after the royal medieval festival in Waterloo park.

We visited last night as a group of 4.I just woke up and I was looking at the bill which makes me think we were charged for the things we never ordered. We never ordered the spicy fried chicken, sweet potato fries and did not do any takeout. So I don’t think it’s right to charge your customer’s of what they didn’t eat. Everything was good until we paid our bill. To my surprise I just had to tap I wondered the server didn’t wanted tip but then we checked again, looking at the bill she already tipped herself without asking us. We were gonna tip but she doing it without our authority doesn’t make sense but that was fine. It’s is more about paying for what we didn’t even eat. Tip everybody deserves but don’t charge your customers extra.
