You could have simply asked Mr. Dosman to take the ad down. There was no malicious intent to offend anyone in what most saw as a humorous help wanted ad that was his most successful and netted the cafe four new staff. You could have solved this issue amicably and quietly but now it's made national news only because you, the Wilfrid Laurier University Graduate Students' Association decided to fire him suddenly, shutting the business down, and escorting him out like a criminal. A gross overreaction that now has damaged the reputation of your entire school with many current and former students, staff, and faculty embarrassed to be associated with it.

Disgusting. An authoritarian reaction simply because you have it within your power to do so. Why? Because you are offended? Every single member of this Association should be ashamed of themselves. Being representatives of a higher learning establishment acting with such vitriol so as to involve security simply because of some words? This is how you treat things you don't agree with? Simply shut them down? It seems your education was utterly wasted and you have proven yourselves unfit for even the simplest of tasks.

After reading an article written by the Toronto Star describing the actions the WLU Students Association took against Sandor Dosman I have to say I'm absolutely disgusted. It's not something I would expect from a place that I so thoroughly respect. In looking for a replacement you state that you wish to find someone who more closely mirrors "Laurier community values", but I can guarantee you the actions you took in no way resemble community values of the members of Laurier, both past and present. I must agree with Byron Williston that the Students Union has acted like spoiled babies. I hope you think about Sandor Dosman while you are celebrating the holidays over the coming weeks and remember the situation you put him in. I can easily say this is the only time I have not been proud to be a Golden Hawk.
