Kung pao chicken is pretty solid although i think next time i will tell them to throw in a few more peppers to add an extra kick.

Where do I even begin….. only good thing about this place is the ice cream and the interior decor…. Other than that do not come 🙅‍♂️❌ unless you want maggot in your soup for extra flavour. For $40 dollars per person (not including tax and tip) you would expect to be eating fresh meat compared to other hotpot restaurants. All the meat seemed like T&T frozen meat I get for cheap... Sauce bar was dirty, food took some time to arrive, and even ordered a few things that didn’t even come (Had to tell them they missed it). The workers were very very friendly, but overall not a fun experience, had the worse stomach pain ever for the next day!!!! Not to mention, we had a bug in the food and they gave us ONLY 4 bucks off…. They should be lucky I ain’t complain to Public Health. Never come here❌❌ Highly not recommended!!!

When you visit your college town, a visit to the University Plaza is a must. Hoping to try a new spot in Waterloo’s university plaza, we came across Xiang Hotpot (160 University Avenue West, Waterloo, ON). A hotpot joint warmly decorated with elegant panels, this place transfers you to a high dining experience while still retaining its affordability for the nearby student population.

When I went there, my friend and I ordered the mapo tofu with a side of rice. The tofu was perfectly tender, soaking up the rich, spicy sauce. The heat from the peppers gave it just the right kick, but the fluffy rice helped balance it out, soaking up all the delicious flavors. Each bite was a perfect blend of spice, savory depth, and comfort. We couldn’t stop talking about how satisfying the meal was!
