The grandma who works here is so incredibly kind. I don't speak Chinese but she made sure to come by and gesture how to eat things correctly and was really sweet the whole time. They offer a free refill of juice and the service was amazing. The guy working here also came immideatly to give his personal recommendations. If you're done your rice they also offer free extra rice and the portions are already pretty good.
Amazing noodles!
The noodles are so tasty, and the meat sauce is super flavorful. Love that they give free refills—portions are huge already! Definitely coming back.
Best Sichuan restaurant in Waterloo
Please bring back the original pork and pea sauce (white noodles). I've been coming here for years and sometime last year they slowly started changing the recipe. I used to be addicted to the noodles. I would dream about them. Now I have only been disappointed. I've had the new noodles a few times and they are edible but I've stopped eating here because of the MASSIVE downgrade in quality and taste. Please bring them back before I graduate 🙏. I just need a hit.
Pretty banger foods. You can tell that they put so much msg, but they still season them well, so they taste so good. Price is really cheap, and in general their dishes are consistently good.
The place is quite dirty, but not the worst. Cheap good food is cheap good food.
Very traditional Chongqing food and now I believe they added more Chinese food from other regions on the menu as well. Definitely gonna come back more often!!
If you’re a fan of bold flavors and fiery spices, this Sichuan restaurant is an absolute gem!
The most delicious noodles. Yum yum yum
The food was a bit dry. The portionwise is fulfilling but a bit pricey.
Disgusting slop, looks like cafeteria food
Restaurantji Recommends
Thought the portion of the noodles would be larger for $11.99 - recommend sizing up the bowl looked huge.
After eating, I unfortunately suffered from food poisoning. I hope the restaurant addresses their hygiene practices.

The most authentic Sichuan restaurant you can find in Waterloo. Like the noodles very much. Hopefully the taste will never change to something more suitable for foreigners. This is a Chinese restaurant, not a white restaurant!
The food was actually inedible, probably one of the only times i did not get close to finishing. Chicken was just outright raw. It was so bad I went to another place in the plaza after with my buddy. Tables weren't great or all that clean, service consisted of 3 people in a booth pointing to where to sit.
