I want to start out with the positives because there are many. Beautiful view of the fall colours, wine tasting was great- she was lovely & very knowledgeable! My kids thoroughly enjoyed the wood fired pizza & I enjoyed the salad- delicious maple balsamic dressing!
Closer to the end of our visit, when we had our last few sips of wine- my husband and I decided to go enjoy some green space and let the kids enjoy as well. We did this to remain away from those that were dining. As another review below states- this is very looked down upon. Our two kids circled our chairs quietly playing tag as kids do. They were not running by people, nor were they in the dining areas. We were quickly told this was not allowed and to keep our kids close(which they were). When I then asked if there was a complaint- the person quickly stated “no but we have many reviews on kids”. Funny enough i found no review thus far on this- only one that states my very experience. I guess kids are to be still and silent! Because apparently this is fine dining!! So my suggestion to those of you with children- go to the river house winery in maberly- lawn games and fun for all! This place caters to couples and families. It is unfortunate as I must say this experience was very positive until this! What is sad about this is that we probably spent more money than some of the couples there today but were treated extremely disrespectfully for really having children that were extremely well behaved!
Decent wine, great pizza and ambiance, excellent serving staff. Manager was decidedly unpleasant. If it weren't for her, I would have given 4 stars or more.
We have visited the winery a number of times and have had nothing but excellent experiences. The food quality is high, both the grill menu and pizzas are delicious. The staff and service is excellent. The wine will surprise you, the Pinot Noir and Bubbly are our favourites. On a nice evening, sitting outside with the lake on one side and vines on the other is something to experience.
Went for dinner. Great service, super nice atmosphere and amazing food!
Two nice dogs, lots of chickens, some pigs and goats.
Overall great spot!
THE PLACE TO GO. A wonderful family run winery. The food is high end and expect a unique food experience. The pizza is fantastic. If you're expecting to eat pizza that tastes like cardboard, then don't come here. The owners are as genuine as they come. Always friendly and always blowing my mind about Wolfe Lake! ;)
Honestly, IGNORE the 1 star reviews. Their reviews are pointless, and are a matter of personal preference. They also enjoy 3 or more things about the place, yet rate it low. These people have nothing better do to than complain for nothing.
Not that their reviews matter, this place is always bumping :) cheers guys !
A must stop in Westport. Good views, good service and TOP food. All the food is fresh, you can see the vineyard and the animals. They also have chairs to have a drink and enjoy the views. The grilled prawns, off the menu, were delicious.
Had a great meal (pizza and the steak!) on a beautiful Sunday evening. Staff was friendly and attentive and visits by the dogs and chickens was an added bonus!
Nice and open. Great tasting menu and extremely open to coordinate our needs. Can't wait to come again
Our first visit to Scheuermann Vineyard & Winery in Westport Ontario today was a wonderful experience! We were warmly greeted by "Bernadette" before being introduced to "Jake" at the wine tasting bar, who was both friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Jake also took the time to take us into the garage and explain the wine making process, and encouraged us to explore the vinyards and all that Scheuermann Winery has to offer its guests. After a short walk around, we sat down to delicious wood fired pizzas and a lovely glass of Pinot Noir 2021 while overlooking Sand Lake. Family-friendly and long-lasting is the best way that I can describe our experience this afternoon at this hidden jewel on the hill in Westport. We returned home with a bottle of Vidal 2021, a bottle of Chardonnay 2021, and two bottles of Pinot Noir 2021. I look forward to returning again soon to enjoy the dinner ambiance and relaxing atmosphere at Scheuermann Vineyard and Winery.
Great place ! Good wine, delicious pizzas, excellent service, and charming location by the lake with a delightful sunset ! I recommand

The Caliente Pizza had just the right amount of heat, making it so delicious that we returned the next night! I highly recommend the food. The staff work seamlessly as a team, and our server, Spencer, was particularly helpful and friendly in recommending the specials. It was a lovely experience overall.
This was the most wonderful winery and experience we have encountered in a long time, and will not be forgotten. The farm, scenery, hand-made wood oven, family, and love put into every aspect of Scheuermann's Vineyard and Winery are beyond the usual experience. The pizza is perfection, the wine is delicious, and most of all, the welcome atmosphere is unbelievable. Could not recommend this place more.
Lovely nature and water views, but then the experience aspect of the visit was very different.
When we arrived (large party with reservations) we were told that there was a shortable of menus and had to share. There was 1 large party already eating and 3/4 more tables mostly couples.
When we arrived tables had to be extended to fit our group. The mechanism used to hold up table extensions did not support table tops which made our beverage glasses very unstable. The table is style not appropriate for dining. Several of us had to work our legs around the support brackets of the extensions.
Oysters were ordered and when it arrived the guest was told that the the ramekins (not bottled) could not be left behind for him to serve himself. He had to quickly make a choice, server rationed it out on each oyster and left with all the sauces.
Lack of communication on menu and alcohol availability. After taking the time to make our choices several of us had to once again review the menu to make new selections.
We found it expensive for what you get.
For example, I ordered a pizza with asparagus and I didn't recognize that there was any on my pizza. What I saw was 5 or 6 thinly julienned green pieces which I deduced was the asparagus. It looked more like a garnish.
No dog policy is perplexting. Massive dog, cat and chickens roaming in 'dinning' area.
I don't have much experience with bottle service when dining in, but the doubling of the price of a wine bottle from take home price is curious.
Loved the atmosphere at this cute little family run winery! It is right next to a lake with beautiful views and the food was delish. I especially recommend the artichoke dip!!
Drove from Ottawa for a day trip and didn’t plan on visiting the winery. We were told by a local that the winery had lots of outdoor seating. We went to the walk up bar for a flight of wines to taste. The part time gentleman was friendly and knowledgeable about the wines.
We found some Adirondack chairs off to the side to drink our wines. At this point someone was sent out to tell us that we had to take the dog off their premises. We were saddened to hear this since there were no signs posted. We stayed for 5 more minutes to finish the glass when someone else came out and repeated the statement. We took our cockapoo and left immediately. The tone was harsh.
We don’t recommend this place as a drop in and they are not pet friendly, even though they have lots of space to separate patrons.
Stick to Sparks St in ottawa where pets can dine with you at any outside patio.
