I came here looking for a doughnut and some hot chocolate and was blown away at the selection and welcoming staff!It is loaded with all sorts of goodies that I did not expect like imported candy’s and meats.I found a chocolate bar that I have been looking for years for!I was welcomed by a man in an orange shirt when I came in and was helped by a young man who gave me some time to figure out what I wanted and then did a great job helping meI ended up taking home a crazy delicious looking peanut butter cupcake. The best apple fritter I have ever had! And a great hot chocolate all for less than $10.

We recently relocated to Whitby from Toronto and have been searching for similar go-to spots. Village Bake Shop turned out to be the comparable bakery we've been seeking, reminiscent of San Remo in Etobicoke.Although I only sampled a few donuts, they rival the quality of those from San Remo, for the most part. The signature apple fritter is exceptional, albeit a bit pricey at $3, but it's generously sized and delicious.The Boston Cream stands out with its smooth and rich chocolate glaze, light and fluffy donut, and thick, abundant custard.However, the honey cruller falls slightly short compared to the others and is only marginally better than what you'd find at Tim Hortons for a fraction of the cost.The staff were incredibly friendly, and there were no long lines even on a Saturday morning.Lastly, as a Dutch bakery, I had hoped they would offer poffertjes, which would be a perfect addition to their menu.I'll definitely be back again to try the danishes and other baked goods.

I arrived here after driving for about 2 hours. I thought it was a place that only sold bread, but they sell a lot of different things. The workers are very friendly and welcome guests with bright smiles.I bought the most delicious donuts in Canada!!!I was worried that there might be a maximum purchase, but I ended up purchasing the quantity I wanted.I've never had such delicious donuts in over 10 years of living in Canada!!I hope many people know about this place~Thank you so much for selling delicious donuts.^^I want to eat it every day!!!!

I put an order in that UPS delivered to the wrong address. After days of UPS saying it was the senders responsibility, I called and they had no idea what to do and were very short with me on the phone. The man was very cold indeed. Ended up calling my bank to resolve the matter. I was really excited about including this in a gift for my Moms birthday. Too bad.
Finally tried Village Bakery and sad I didn’t try it sooner!! Hands down the best donuts & pastries!!! A must try!!!!

I ordered royal candid fruit cake today. It was terribly bad . It was so hard that I could not even cut with knife . Somehow I managed to cut it . Forget about eating it . Totally spoiled the Christmas Eve mood .
