Stakeout Dining Room & Lounge

This was our third time here. We had enjoyed our two other visits.

Our server was Stephen and he was lovely. Attentive and very gracious. The food was good. It was really two main issues.

First, it was so hot in there. Everyone was complaining. It seems far to expensive to be so uncomfortable inside and we would never ever visit in the summer again due to this.

And lastly, their debit machines were not accepting any of our cards. They all worked and it led to us panicking and calling our banks. I ended up having to leave my wife in this hot restaurant while I went to the bank and afterwards we confirmed there was nothing wrong with our cards.

On the way home, we felt really resentful. Our server was awesome and none of it was his fault but we felt like we paid way too much to sit in a hot restaurant and the manager did nothing to compensate for the massive inconvenience. We really aren't impressed and it tainted our feelings about this place.

Unfortunately the steak and the halibut that I had was average, i.e. nothing special. My halibut was overcooked so it was quite dry. My husband's steak was all right, closer to a medium than medium rare as ordered, and on the burnt side. The service was not bad, but not the best either. I didn't like the atmosphere as there were more than a few fruit flies flying around our table, which is super annoying when you're trying to enjoy your meal.

This was the worse steak house I’ve been to. Service was slow and cringey, decor is tacky and cheap, and I could barely cut through my striploin with the fat grizzle (it was also overcooked). The shrimp cocktail comes with 4 massive and gross looking prawns, served with not enough sauce. The salad was warm and wilted as if it was left under the heat lamp, not to mention was only like 5 bites of romaine. It took over an hour to get our order and our server checked in on us once. Never going here again.

What a great place , the food was fabulous as well as the service Julia was on top of her game even the manager came over several times , the food , service and decor was something you would expect downtown Toronto

Excellent steak options and veal chops as well. We were a larger group and they accommodated us nicely. Only 2 hours were allotted to the dinner and we were asked to quickly finish up as another group was expected. Given the size of the group, it was not an easy task to up and leave on a time schedule. It would have been easier if we were informed of the 2 hour limit ahead of time. Aside from that, the cappuccino is excellent and the 5 chocolate cake is a must for dessert.

Waited 10 minutes & NO ONE came to seat us. Then 2 ladies walked in behind us, knew someone & were seated right away. So disappointing

Probably the best steak I have ever had.
The price-point is higher than my usual dining experiences but it is a reflection of the quality they produce.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Seating was comfortable and spacious.

I would have given 6 stars if it was an option.

Great service. We were seated immediately. Waiter was patient and did not take long to bring our food out.
The Prime Rib with lobster is a great meal! Meal portion size is decent.

JUST had our anniversary and my wife’s birthday dinner - Steve our server was SO amazing super friendly great service very professional pure gentleman, I notice his coworker James worked to help each serve the customers in sinc , food TOP of the chart , Thank You gentleman for making both mine and wife’s evening a great night

Prime rib was undercooked and then given back to mt too tough to eat. Caesar salad was good but a little over dressed. Staff were great.

Price doesn’t match quality of food. We had prime rib with Yorkshire pudding with no gravey or au jus. The halibut was way under cooked. They put us in the lounge with tvs all over the place. Not a & 100 + restaurant. Waitress tried and said it would be better next time. I won’t return and neither will the group of people I was entertaining
