Excellent food experience. Had a wings and Rib combo which comes with 2 sides + a creme brule dessert. First off the ribs are smoked to perfection. Just the right amount of smoky flavour without being overpowering. There BBQ sauce provided for those who prefer to add sauce . The wings are jumbo sized and flavoured with the same smoky flavour. A generous serving provided. Finally, the sides were the right compliment to the meal with carrots and mac and cheese....we added the Brussel sprouts and found that to be the big surprise....Be sure to try the sprouts....with the recent lockdown, they only open for dinner Thursdays to Sundays. Order ahead. Great food is only topped by the friendly customer service. Highly recommend this tasty food experience. Enjoy.

I ordered a smoked pulled pork and smoked chicken wing combo with fries for takeout and the pulled pork was terrible. It had a cat food mush texture and there were no nice pieces of pulled meat. The fries and wings were mediocre.

Ordered two hours before. Said will be ready at 6. Waited around 30 minutes. Half of my order was ready just sitting there, cold by the time the other half was ready. Received notification that my order was ready for pick up so not sure why it actually wasnt ready. First and last time I’ll be ordering there.

Nice place. Food was good. I'd get the honey chicken with mac n cheese side again. Also the brussel sprouts app was good as well. But would pass on the ribs. Service was friendly and quick.

Yeah. Just not good. Feels like a hipster attempt at a bbq joint. Food was overall pretty dry, had the ribs, chicken, beans and potatoes. Potatoes were the best, not a good sign. Ribs were dry and overcooked, not sure what the idea was with the "sauce" drizzled on them. The chicken was ok. The beans were pretty awful. Just super dry, no sauce at all. There's potential but just not good. Also the prices are crazy expensive. I'd honestly give the place a 2 but the staff saved it. For really good bbq go to Muddys or dr j's even. Just really disappointing seeing as how they literally never seem to be open. Yeah never mind it's a 2. No appies, two mains and three beers shouldn't equate to $120. Especially when I know I could cook all of that better at home. Would not recommend. Was really hoping the 5 stars were right but the 2 or 1 stars are more appropriate.

We had the best meal. Will order again soon. Our daughter has celiac and they ensured everything was super safe. The fried chicken was truly amazing But truthfully so was everything we ate-brisket, Brussels sprouts and fries. Thanks again for the best Thanksgiving meal

Happened in on a thursday night. Had a great conversation with the owner and enjoyed a fantastic meal. The veal cheek melted it was so tender and well seasoned, while the deep fried honey chicken was crisp, sweet and delicious. If you're passing through and hungry. You need to stop here.

The briskets were sooo hard and dry, no favor at all... that I never ever had in other Smokey restaurant. The ribs were dry, not juicy ...worse than our homemade one. The fries were so salty. The corn bread were dry. Also, the lemon Ice tea was tasteless like water. Portions were small. Very over priced! The service was decent, but not very attentive...slow service. The patio was by the busy main street with cars and big buses passing by!

Sorry guys, but the price that we paid for 2 adults and 2 kids does not meet the level of expected food quality and service.$170 later with the tip (we didn't order much alcohol, only 2 beers), the wings were mediocre at best, in terms of the sauce (just a salty red sauce with some spice) and they were not falling off the bone (some were still a bit red around the bone). There was no ranch sauce available (we were offered Ceasar sauce instead, which we accepted). The mayo for the fries was something that nobody in our family wanted to touch. The fries were soggy. The tacos and the back-ribs were okay. The side order of mac and cheese was bland lacked flavour. The desert that comes with the combos was given to us when we were leaving and nobody offered it to us while we were seated at the table. There were a few good items: the slaw in the tacos was good. Deep fried Brussel sprouts were good. Good selection of local beer brews. If I had paid $70-$90 (even $100) for this meal I would have been okay. We're not picky eaters, but till today $170 got us much better variety and quality for the taste than here at this place. We left with a feeling of being fooled.Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Birthday takeout - brisket, ribs and wings. Came with crispy fries and creme caramel. Just DELICIOUS.

Ordered the Dad Bod Father’s day platter - presentation was a bit lacking (maybe shouldve used a smaller container so it didnt look so bare?). The sauces were tasty (bbq and salsa verde). My fav was the porchetta (crackling ?). The coleslaw was a bit too sour. The cornbread was yummy! The brisket and wings were good. Everything was cold though, though to be expected for take out. Pricey but likely on par with other comparable restaurants.

Literally the best BBQ in Markham-Stouffville. Brisket is smokey, tender, but not "disintegrating", which is the way I like it.Best menu item is the fried chicken. Drenched in "hot honey", it is dangerously addictive, and gluten-free to boot.Great local joint that supports local breweries. Pivoted successfully to take-out and family meals during the pandemic, and offers great, cooked-from-scratch comfort meals. If you patron, order directly and pick up to ensure maximum freshness.

Chris, the owner, is great friendly guy. Really makes you feel welcome. Love eating on premise, but the take away is just as good. There are monthly Scotch/ whiskey tastings Chris hosts, making everyone feel welcome and imparting his wealth of knowledge. They also carry great local beers for pick up too. I'd you're looking for a great local restaurant, you can't go wrong with the Smokery.
