The food here is really good, as are the portions. This is our go to Chinese food in the area and cannot recommend it enough. Staff are really kind and friendly too.
I would only recommend that you call and order ahead as everyone mentioned the wait times are long. But only because this place is very popular!

This is our family’s favourite Chinese restaurant in the region. The staff is courteous and kind, the food is delicious and the portions are generous! I love the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai and the kids love the sweet and sour chicken balls, crispy wings and fried rice.

Have tried numerous times to order there now cause food is good. Always just for me so like 2 items, small order . Call as soon as they open and always tell me 3 and a half hours before I can pick up . I guess good for them they are busy but last time I'm going to try and told them that. Obviously to busy for my business. Call other Chinese places like ones in uxbridge and food is ready right away for you. Maybe need more staff. Anyway they won't be getting any business from me or anyone I talk to anymore.

wasnt even feeling chinese food tonight. decided to get it as its a healthier choice over mc ds. got the dinner for 1 with chicken wings beef with brocolli and chicken fried rice, and man oh man it was soooooooooooooooo goood. the brocolli is to die for, the chicken wings r some of the best, the beef is insanely good. girl friend got the same thing but instead of wings she got wok chef beef and that maybe one of the best things ive ever had in my mouth. best chinese food ive ever had, my new go to resturaunt. good service as well!

The four main dishes all turned out the same- Shrimp with black bean sauce under the seafood category was a tray of mixed vegetables with few pieces of shrimp. Chilli tofu, mushroom and broccoli was a tray of vegetables with a few pieces of tofu, and so on.Price: Expensive for the portion you get.Service: Takes over an hour for pick up.

I’m sorry but the food is SO expensive for what you get. I know about inflation, but the prices have gone nuts. Strange flavour on the udon noodles and black bean beef. Very nice sweet and sour shrimp, but too pricey for a small amount.It would be nice if could use better takeout containers - the black plastic ones can’t be recycled. A little bit slow service.

Seven years ago I moved to Ballantrae, and after trying many Chinese takeout places in Aurora, Markham and Stouffville, discovered one of the best in the region.Small and family run in a small strip plaza, most of Wok Chef’s dishes are quite good (excellent fried rice, wife loves the beef & broc and beef ho fen, I like the Wok Chef beef and sweet & sour chicken balls), but where Wok Chef really excels is in unfaltering consistency: food is always cooked the same and tastes the same.After moving an hour away and trying to find a new place, I’ve realized how rare a restaurant like Wok Chef actually is. Such that whenever I’m passing though Ballantrae, I’ll make it a point to stop in and pick up my favourites… which still taste just like I love!Order early, as they get very busy and a 1-2 hour wait isn’t unheard of.
