“Lawrence and his staff were so welcoming and friendly. Lawrence, who is the owner, was especially attentive to helping us with the menu. He suggested the jerk chicken and jollof fries, which weren’t like anything we’ve ever had. The chicken was so flavorful and melted off the bone. The “Everything Sauce” enhanced the flavor of the chicken annd everything else. We loved it so much, that we went home with a 16oz container.We are leaving Lago’s with full bellies and full heart’s, because Lawrence was the nicest person we met while visiting Canada.“

“First time dining here … it was delicious! We had the goat dish & chicken dish both served with plantains, coconut or spiced rice, beans & corn/cucumbers salad and spinach side dish, both entrees were tender, seasoned with earthy spices … excellent! Their hibiscus tea and spiced coffee were delicious too. We enjoyed the avocado pudding and passion fruit desserts. Our server was knowledgeable and personable. He made great suggestions. We will be back soon!“
“Yum Village came to my company today and the food was outstanding! The jerk chicken was so tender and juicy and flavorful. The pineapple salsa was delicious and had large hunks of fruit in it. The honey mustard sauce is a must. The pita bread was homemade and very tasty. We all agreed we will be going down to Detroit to eat at their actual restaurant.“
“I went to the Woodward location and the service was fast. There was a fire truck blocking the entrance way so they had someone come out to the street to deliver the food. The food is always amazing! Jollof rice w/ chicken is my favorite. Portions are large so you get your monies worth. Highly recommended.“
“First of all: FOOD IS FIREEE!! I was so shocked to eat good food in Windsor ? but this was the spot. I remember one time I forgot my debit card and he told me it was okay and I didn’t have to pay, I felt so bad I ran home and got my debit and insisted on paying because I didn’t want him to think I was taking advantage. Such a nice man, Alhamdulillah we need more people like him. Foods fresh, big portions and really good I love the hot sauce for the chicken and rice! May Allah bless your business with abundance!“
