Ortona 1864 Cafe & Panino Reviews
Always a great time here. We always get a double espresso when we go, staff is amazing, and the espresso martini is definitely recommend.

Ortona 1864 Cafe & Panino is a cozy spot with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is nice, and the Italian-style dishes are mouthwatering. The restaurant serves exceptional cuisine, including breakfast sandwiches, full breakfasts, and a unique lunch and dinner menu. Customers praise the service, with some mentioning that their server was attentive, friendly, and hardworking even during busy times. The vibe is cozy, and the food is fresh and flavorful. Highlights include delicious mushroom soup, roasted pig, and great sandwiches that are highly recommended. The menu also features simple but tasty Italian sandwiches, appetizers, and gelato. The drink menu offers options like the Ortona Spritzer, which balances bitterness and sweetness well. The café has a small but pleasantly spacious patio, making it a nice place to meet for a quick bite and beverage. Some customers noted that the food menu was printed on a small, spill-covered paper initially, but the food itself exceeded expectations. For breakfast, dishes like the Italian Benny and porchetta Sammi are popular, though some find certain items like the porchetta a bit fatty. The service is often praised, especially when the owner Johnny handles concerns with understanding and promptness, sometimes replacing dishes to ensure customer satisfaction. Overall, it’s a charming place with great vibes and quality food that encourages repeat visits.
