Fresh and tasty! ? The only complaint is the exclusive menu. ? It's hard to know what we're missing out on since the dinner and lunch menus are different. ? I get the price differences, but the lack of transparency about the contents is a bit frustrating. #foodie #restaurantreview

Service was good but the food was just ok, some dishes lacked flavour and didn't seem fresh. The place was really dirty and dusty, especially the washrooms, so for that reason my wife and I are not going back.

Today 11/11/24, was the first time dinning at Taka. Unfortunately not much to brag about it ?. 1.Staff, very unwelcoming. 2. Food not so great. 3. Extremely priced. Overall, we can definitely spend our money at a better food, friendlier Staff and not so expensive place.

Service is fast. Use the tablet to select the items, click send, and within a minute or so you are served. This allows you to order as you eat rather than pre-order too much.

Empty plates disappear from your table just as quick.

Everything I tried was fresh and good. I'm no expert in Japanese or Thai, nor could I try everything on the extensive menu, but nothing was wasted.

Some of my favorites are the hand roll (the cone like portion is of good size), the pizza (disk of rice fried with the topping added - four large bite portions), rolls, etc.

Price for the all you can eat is quite fair and lower than alternative places in town. It was diner, on a Sunday, four adults and a kid.

Give Taka a try.

By the way, ignore the old Western cowboy theme left from the long gone restaurant of years ago. ?‍♂️

Vegetarian options: Yes

Kid-friendliness: All you can eat price

My family and I have been coming here for years now, and we leave very satisfied with the food every time. It's always hot, fresh, quick, and delicious. We've had no complaints!
Except for two nights ago, where the wait staff that was designated to our table most certainly stiffed us $20. Several people counted and recounted the dollar bills needed for the total, and we asked for the change back. The waitress leaves with our money, then returns to tell us that we're 20 short. Naturally, we're all very surprised, because there's no way that everyone at the table missed that (6 people), we even counted aloud. But the waitress counts our bills at our table and then does a little pouty face at the amount. We all keep saying to her that it doesn't make sense for that money to have disappeared when we knew we gave it, but she doesn't say a word to us, she just silently waits for us to fork over another twenty. We're in no mood to argue about it any further, so we just do so and leave, but needless to say that we left sour and unsure if we should return again if this is how we'll be treated.

Last time we ate here was about 5 years ago, just went there today cause we had out of town guests that wanted to try it. Everything was exceptional and vastly better than the last time we visited.

My girl and I come here every anniversary, however this year when we went the sashimi piece were not slices they were literal chunks, there was a fly in my girls soup and after we ate my girl threw up and I had a stomach ache. Would not recommend. Will be going to oiishi from now on for anniversary.

Using an iPad to order your food with 8 people was difficult as there was only one. The did have other food besides sushi as I'm not a big sushi fan. You never knew what was being brought out and you had to remember exactly what you ordered as orders got mixed up. The food was good and the employees were friendly.
