Taka Japanese Sushi and Thai Food Restaurant

Went here with a party of 5 for all-you-can-eat. Everything was delicious and made to order, served hot and fresh. Ordering was very easy with the tablet. Service staff was polite and accommodating. Great selection of non-sushi dishes. Overall great experience.

Very quick service, staff friendly but couple don't understand English but they brought another staff member for help.
Ask for CHEATERS chop sticks kinda like large twiser to make it easy to learn how to use chopsticks.

Fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented sushi and sashimi. The seafood was high quality, the portions were generous, and the service was excellent. A great place for authentic Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the service we received was disappointing from the moment we walked in.

Instead of greeting or welcoming us, the waiter simply looked at us, motioned toward our table with his hand, placed the ordering tablet on the table, and walked away without saying a word.

When I called for assistance because there were no utensils at our table, the response I received was, “What do you want?” That was unprofessional and made us feel like we were an inconvenience.

Later during our meal, we asked for sauces and were ignored. When we finally got someone’s attention, we were told to ask someone else instead of being helped. We shouldn’t have had to chase staff around for something so simple.

Good customer service is about making guests feel welcome and valued, and unfortunately that wasn’t our experience. The dismissive attitude throughout our visit left a very poor impression. I hope management looks into this, as no customer should be treated this way. Based on this experience, I’ll be thinking twice before returning.

My favorite sushi place in Windsor. Fast service with lots of options. Excellent food.

You can tell à lot by the entrance of a restaurant about what awaits you inside. At least, my experience is consistent. Taka restaurant is located in the old Steak House. It seems the entrance mats were never changed in the lifetime of the restaurant.
We ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Red Curry. Pad Thai was not good: texture of chicken was strange and the sauce was runny. I couldn't eat that so a sushi roll was ordered. It was OK, neither amazing nor bad. Red Curry was better, but still not impressive (somewhat blend). Overall cost was relatively low, but I would not return. There are many other good paces in Windsor.

Tried this place a year ago and it was great. Tried it again today and it was TERRIBLE. The fish on the sushi was a bit stale and the servers just dropped the food on the edge of the table and left. When the ice cream arrived, it had ice crystals on it and the bowl was completely cold. It’s clear that the ice cream was scooped and placed in the bowl hours before it was served, which negatively affected the taste. The teraki shrimp was good, but one of them still had the poop tube in it, which is safe to eat but a pet peeve of mine. If I am paying 40$ for dinner I would expect that they take them out. The poop tube completely killed my appetite. I was incredibly disappointed with the entire experience, especially since I had such a positive one last time I went.
