Foods good but 29$ for chicken Alfredo and received 100 grams of food total. (used a digital scale). Manager didn't seem to care so I'd avoid this place for pick up if your hungry - you'll need 3 orders to approximate the average given by everyone else locally. Chicken alone made up approx 8 grams. At least it's fresh?
Our first time here was perfect and romantic. That was a few months ago. My bf made reservations for last Saturday night at 7pm. We were asked to wait at the bar because they were a "bit behind." After being given our drink orders we were pretty much ignored for almost a full hour. I stared down the greeter until he finally came over and asked if we wanted to order. We reminded him that we were still waiting for a table. He offered us a TINY table behind us that had been vacant the whole time we waited. My bf declined. Then we were offered an even worse able that was tiny and by the door. Begrudgingly, my bf accepted because he knew I was starving. We were never even offered water or bread and I had to ask the server to refill my wine. Then I was brought the wrong entree. I didn't want to make the night worse so I didn't complain and ate it. (It was good although not what I ordered.) My bf was embarassed, insulted and disappointed (so was I!) and he didn't leave his usual generous tip. He only wanted to show me a romantic and classy dinner but Vito's really blew it!!!
Great food and service for an early Mother's day dinner.
Simply one of my favourites. Amazing atmosphere and great food.
The lack of menu selections was disappointing. Server appeared to be new and lacked the basic knowledge and experience to make the evening a memorable event. We chose to end our evening at the City Grill with just drinks.
It's upsetting that we made a special trip to The City Grill based on our reservation (confirmed) for 5:45 on Friday July 21st, but when we arrived, the restaurant was closed for a private wedding reception. With an appetite and so much excitement (we were visiting family from California), we were very disappointed. It was our last night in Canada and a special occasion celebrating an 88th birthday. We feel we should be compensated for the effort we made to be a patron at the restaurant only to be turned away once we got the front door ten minutes before our reservation.
New menu is great. Small sharing plates is just what Windsor needed! Prices are much lower then their old menu and the variety is vast. Very good attentive service, I would recommend to anyone in the Windsor area.
we went for the duelling piano's... the food was not good, there was no taste/spice. what we got versus what we paid unfortunalty did not match. I had higher expectations and we were so disappointed in our food that we didnt even stay for the piano's. feel free to contact me for further information.
The food is very good but unfortunately portions are small and the prices are a bit on the high side. Prices would be appropriate since the quality is great but we didn't leave feeling 100% satisfied.
The main course took over an hour to arrive. The water glasses took forever to be refilled. We enjoyed the food and the wine. We had been there a year ago and had excellent service and food.

Great location, great customer service and great food! This is my 'go-to' restaurant when I am in Windsor (4 - 5 times per year). I highly recommend to anyone looking for an upscale place to entertain or wind down. The second floor is great for people watching. Rob B
We've been here for dates several times and we've had some really great experiences here. We were there most recently for the dueling pianos night and had a brand new server, and while we tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, it was difficult. Our food came out very shortly after our app which we had specifically asked her to wait on and she repeated back to us that we were to let her know when we'd like our entree orders placed. They brought our entree and we didn't have silverware, and if it wasn't ten minutes we waited, it was definitely 7-8. So then we ate slightly warm food. I asked for another glass of wine and my husband a beer... she brought my husband his beer refill and then asked me if I wanted more wine as though we hadn't just had the discussion. Overall small things, but we just expect more from a place where we've had so many amazing servers and experiences. We still love the atmosphere and food so I'm sure we'll be back and hopefully it'll be better.
We were treated like V I P's by the entire staff. Service was both attentive and friendly. Our waitress Areal was amazing. We had the Chateaubriand for two accompanied by the wine pairing options. The meal was great and the pairings were top notch. I would not hesitate to recommend The City grill to anyone, especially for a special occasion.
We had a great experience here! The decor is modern and sophisticated, and the menu is small but interesting. We were pleased that they offered vegetarian and gluten-free options. Service was outstanding - everyone was friendly and attentive!
Food was good but not worth $80 a plate (NYE set pricing) Reason I say this is, it took 30 between each meal corse. Our reservation was at 7. We were seated promptly, but did not get our main entree till almost 9pm. Our server said the kitchen staff was running behind...but the restaurant wasn't even full. Seems unacceptable given that all customers have a very specific menu to choose from. The atmosphere was great until the large party next to us showed up. They were so loud and obnoxious it completely ruined our experience. Funny thing is, we found out the large party was filled with owners of the restaurant. Clearly they don't care about ruining other patron's dining experience. Will not go back.
