ordered 2 separate orders 1 for a birthday 1 for Christmas both were delivered almost 2 weeks late and 1 order was delivered to the wrong address. after contacting to ask for a refund I was told I provided the wrong address, which I didn't, and have an invoice to prove it. the product may taste great, but the experience with service and delivery has not been good. being told you have to pay for an order that was delivered to the wrong address is not acceptable customer service.

I called twice but couldn't get a human. And now you added to the confusion? Let me understand. If I can reach a human and sort out an order, I would need to hang up, then return to your complex website and enter the information they gave me. Why couldn't this person take my order? Please understand, I am not angry. I'm a frustrated customer who wants butter tarts 🙂 Why must we all be forced to navigate your awkward, multi-tiered website to place an order? You're most likely friendly people, but doing business with you is fraught with complexities. Would you happen to have any idea what I'm talking about?

Customer service - horrible Courier service- horrible. Order went to courier 3 days after supposed to be already delivered. Still not delivered. This order was made by a rescue going to a vet clinic. Saddened and disgusted

Ordered over 10 days ago. Shipped 8 days ago and still have not received an email from the company. No response after 3 days, and another email was sent yesterday. Not impressed at all.

If there was an option to pick 0 I would. Ordered on Dec 1 asked for a refund because it did not arrive as of Dec 22. Reached out numerous times requesting a status update with no response. “We are a small company” is no excuse for poor customer service. This company may be over their head and are unable to complete orders within a reasonable time.

Read the reviews on the web site, looked great. Scrolled through all the options and flavours, got excited. Placed my order for 6 tarts and 6 cookies, waited patiently as I am in another part of Ontario. Received my order, finally got to try the product, not impressed. The cookies taste like they are undercooked, raw cookie dough kind of flavour, not sure if that’s what they are shooting for. The chocolate chips, I don’t believe they are milk chocolate, they taste a bit tart, like semisweet chocolate. The tarts, I’m sorry, but the only thing they have going for them is the variety of flavours. I feel as though I can get the same quality from my local
Sobeys, and they are much lower cost. I’m glad I tried them but I won’t be ordering again. You don’t know until you try something. Thanks for the experience Carla’s.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but I just cannot allow people to think that these are good cookies. They are not good cookies

I didn’t even pay for these cookies and I still feel compelled to leave a review. There is nothing gooey about these cookies at all. They seem undercooked yet still crumbly and dry. I’m sorry Carla, but your cookies are terrible.

Delivery was supposed to be Dec 10th. It Was never shipped. Won’t answer emails or a calls to cancel order. Customer service sucks . Don’t order for events because they will probably miss the deadline like they did with me.

Edit: shipped Dec 17th. Not 14th like Carla’s cookies states. Why pick a shipping date for an event if Carla’s cookies doesn’t honour it?

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Carla’s Cookie Box as a repeat corporate client, and based on our experience, we would caution other businesses against trusting time-sensitive orders to this vendor. She cancelled 20 orders of butter tarts I was sending to my clients 2 days before Christmas, even though I had couriered her labels, addresses, and a detailed spreadsheet of the order. I was a loyal client from last year and asked for my invoice or offered to give credit card info on the phone. She claimed not to know my billing address and abruptly cancelled. I had to scramble while on the way to the airport, drop everything and take staff off their regular duties to deal with Carla's negligence in cancelling our order that we'd talked about with her for weeks and having to find another supplier at the last minute. We incurred a lot of extra costs and lost days of our own productivity to deal with her cancelling for a completely unnecessary reason- our billing address was already sent to her.

This was a holiday corporate gifting order coordinated over several weeks. Throughout the process, we were required to completely redo our spreadsheet multiple times to meet changing requirements, which we complied with promptly and in good faith. We also had to make product substitutions, as some items we received last year were no longer the same or available.

Billing information was provided multiple times via spreadsheets, emails, and text messages. We were also a client last year and clearly stated in writing that our billing details were unchanged. This was stated in in writing on December 17.

Despite this, on December 18 — just days before Christmas delivery — the order was cancelled, citing that billing information had not been provided. This was incorrect and caused significant last-minute stress for our small team, forcing us to urgently source an alternative gifting service.

In good faith, we incurred out-of-pocket costs printing personalized client notes and branded stickers and couriering these materials to the bakery in advance, based on the reasonable expectation that they would be included — as they were when we worked together last year and as many bakery and corporate gifting services provide as a standard part of their service. We were ultimately told personalized notes could not be fulfilled.

Overall, the process felt disorganized, expectations shifted repeatedly, and communication was poor at critical moments. Cancelling a weeks-long, repeatedly revised order at the final stage — after requirements were met and costs were incurred — had a real operational and financial impact on our business.

Sharing this review so other small businesses can make an informed decision before committing important, time-sensitive corporate gifting orders.

Waited 2 and a half weeks for my delivery. When I sent many inquiries via email, Facebook and Instagram I got no reply. Tarts finally arrived and I give 3 stars because they do taste good. The 2 stars deducted are for lack of customer service. I get they are apparently a 2 women team but I am a one woman solo proprietor and customer service is absolutely key. I could never imagine leaving messages unanswered.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! THEY ARE SCAMMERS! I ordered online and have never received my order. I contacted them multiple times by phone and email and they refused to either refund me or send me another order! These people are despicable and dishonnest and should not be in business!!!!
