All staff English speaking, competency, attentive , helpful, polite.
Clean, spacious, no other odours but delish meats, no sticky tables, attendants clean attire and well coiffed.
Manager professional and well spoken, you walk into the room and knows hes in charge.
Food well presented, tasty, has lamb on weekend dinner, mussels, sushi, sashimi, icecream ! For thicker cut, beef boneless short rib for medium rare lovers.
Highly recommended for good food, staff and clean atmosphere.
And has booze; beer, soju, cocktails and sangria pitcher too!
Holiday freebie draw was a really nice touch this snowey xmas!

I didn’t like the fact that I had to pay %12 more for the service that I did because I cooked the food . There was that guys called Mark he was absolutely disrespectful. He immediately brought the bill and forced us to pay while we were not ready. We were still eating our ice cream . I don’t recommend this place.

Absolutely horrendous. Steer clear if you value your hard earned money.
My wife and I stopped by around 9 for their late night ayce menu because we saw the place had a good rating. Unfortunately, it was the biggest mistake I could have made, and the 120$ bill is still making my blood boil.
Firstly, the menu selection is extremely limited. You'd think that for 50 bucks (before taxes) you'd have a wider selection of meats and sides. Instead, their menu is as basic as it gets. It's actually laughable, considering the short ribs, finger meat, and thin cuts were frozen, and separating the pieces for cooking essentially tore them apart.
The meat was more fat than protein, and bland beyond bland after cooking. Whoever was in charge of marinating the meat must have been dozing, and the only cut that had any flavour was saltier than the ocean. Don't even bother with the sushi. You'll find better sushi at circle K, lol
For $50, go to a dedicated Korean or Japanese AYCE establishment. You'll find better food, variety, and customer service for sure.
Worst of all, they forced us to pay a 12% service charge BEFORE taxes, and then expected a tip ON TOP! For a party of 2 diners, really?! Considering the terrible customer service (they didn't change the cooking tray when the carbon was built up like a mountain), it's an insult!
Save your money! Go elsewhere!

Came here with friends and this is the second time they did this to me. When it came time to pay they didn’t give me the correct change. I was disgusted by the dishonesty with the servers. Stealing for tips. I always leave a tip when I eat out but I see what’s going on there. They don’t give you the right change and think you’re not paying attention. So I will not be returning to this location.

Great experience at Chako, the staff was incredibly friendly, the service was blazing fast, the only thing that took longer was the sushi, but that also makes me think the sushi is freshly made when you order. I’ve been to the Markham location before, the Vaughan location definitely has a cozier atmosphere. Overall amazing experience and will be back to this location.

Came in for the late night special and had a great time! Thank you to the awesome staff who were quick, friendly, and attentive!
The experience here was horrible. Imagine bringing a guest to go have a good time at this restaurant and of a sudden the waiters descended on you issuing the time limit. “Just to let you know you guys have 25mins to finish your food.” I was shocked to hear that. Afterwards the manager came back to stylishly tell us we had 15mins to leave due to waiting list.
The demeanor and the attitude was exceptionally professional and utterly rude. If you must eat korean/Japanese food, you might as wrll look around but definitely not this one.
We liked this place(used to come here once every month) untill we had an awful experience.
I made a reservation and we came for dinner on Tuesday. Restaurant was empty, literary we were the first visitors. we were party of 4 and I asked if we can have 2 burners together( some of us dont eat seafood so we wanted to separate meat and seafood), on which manager told me that he can not give it only if I pay 18% service fee. On which i replied, that they have an empty restaurant, why not give each 2 of us 1 burner and seat us close to each other. He told me that they can not do it and that we have to pay 18%. I said ok, i will pay 18% and they gave us a big table with 2 burners. After 15 minutes when we already ordered food, he came to me and told me that this trable was reserved for 6pm and that I have to move, of course I told him that we will not move because we already seating and ordered food. Then his higher manager called his phone and ask him to pass it to me. Lady on the phone told me that there will be a party of 14 people coming to my table and she askes me to please move and they can give me 2 tables close to each other ( initially thats what I asked for, but they said NO). If they would only listen to me at the begining. So now we had to move all our staff to a new table with cold burners, we had to wait again. So all this going back and forth arguing, moving , explaining, being on the phone with manager, took like 20 minutes of our time, mood was ruined, but we still moved and had our meal. Also lady on the phone( manager) asked me not to give them bad review, and I would not give it BUT, the table that she moved us from was still empty when we left at 7.20 pm. And also there was another big empty table that they coould give us right beside it. Anyways they didnt even offer us any discount, just charged us full amount, no apology. when we left restasurant was still like 90% empty. I dont think we will be back soon, service level of this location got worsen over the years.
