Come here ready to eat...the portions are healthy. We visited here with a group, so we were able to try multiple dishes. The calamari was excellent & not overcooked like most places. The pizza speaks for itself from the pictures alone; excellent taste with tons of toppings. The chicken parmegiana was also very good but I would have liked if I could have subbed the penne/spaghetti for a different pasta instead of needing to order gnocchi separately. Nonetheless it was an excellent experience with great service and I will be coming back. Next on the list to try: Lasagna!

No need to order they bring you the meal they want. I ordered the mushroom ravioli and the gave me a tomato based ravioli that wasn’t even on the menu. When I pointed out the mistake they offered to put mushrooms in the tomato sauce and said I needed to say mushroom. This made zero logic since the only ravioli on the menu was mushroom and why would I presume there were other raviolis. They offered to make me the mushroom but said I had to wait 20 minutes. They did not offer to cover my meal. My companion also had the wrong meal brought to her.As for the meal itself, I am sensitive to tomato base sauces so the meal was not pleasant. The portions are large. The atmosphere is bland looks like a cafeteria.

Absolutely love this restaurant. It is my go-to for Italian food. The owner, Ricky is so personable, interactive with customers, and has a strong focus on customer service. The food is very authentic and tasty. Portions are excellent. Exceeding expectations from day one. I'm not surprised when I see loyal customers return. I've been a customer for years, recommend this place to everyone. There's no other Italian restaurant in the GTA I would prefer over Gran Gusto.Dietary restrictions: They also have gluten free pasta!

This place has become our family go to lunch spot when we meet up on Sundays. The food is top notch quality and taste. The priced are reasonable and the atmosphere is unpretentious, welcoming and very friendly.
Small place with a mom and pop vibe. Come for the food and service. Sonia, our server, was lovely. Pasta primavera was amazing. Will definitely be there again soon to try some more of their wonderful food.
