Hero Certified Burgers

Ok, ok, ok… I want to get some things perfectly straight here. I was there for lunch today, August 26, 2025 around 11:30-12:00. The person working was amazing. She took our order very politely, cooked our meals very quickly, and even served us at the table we were sitting at. All the while, having to take others orders, make their orders, and bring them out for them to eat. Then I see her cleaning up. The food was cooked perfectly, and the reason I give a 4 star for the food is only because the beef could have been better. Cooked great, but lacking in taste, and that is the beef’s fault not hers. Here is why your restaurant gets a one star review: SHE WAS THE ONLY PERSON IN THE WHOLE STORE WORKING. Alone! ALONE! What kind of businessperson allows an employee to be by herself having to cook, clean, take orders, serve orders and manage an entire establishment??? I mean subway wouldn’t even have the audacity to try to have one employee and they make $10 sandwiches!!! You guys charged me $28 for a burger, poutine and a pop and you can’t afford to have two or more employees??? Shame on you as a business owner, she should not have to serve 15+ people all on her own. If I was her I would lock the door between customers and put up a sign. The owner of this place should be ashamed of themselves. You better be paying that woman today $40 an hour, because she was doing the work of four employees.

The burgers and onion rings were good! The service was good at first. But then they got the order wrong and insisted quite rudely I ordered what they provided. There was some attitude when they asked if I wanted it remade.

Only giving this hero burger 1 star because I can't give 0. The service is exceptionally slow, we were the only customers and it still took 20 minutes to give us our food. Not only that, the dining room is filthy, with dust caked on the ledges and bases of the tables, there are mouse droppings scattered throughout and on the windowsills as well. The employees didn't seem too concerned with the mention of rat droppings, not even rushing to clean it.
It's honestly sad, this location has such potential, especially being beside a popular movie theater with lots of parking and foot traffic. It's a shame that the quality and cleanliness ruins the opportunity.
This isn't a location I would be returning too, and I can only hope it doesn't get someone sick before the inspector comes back.

Great Halal spot that I eat at a lot. Khushbu was really nice and patient while we took orders! Nice vibe and a quick in and out with great food.

Very disappointing experience. The server, Khushboo, told us the food would be ready in 15–20 minutes, but we ended up waiting over 45 minutes. When the food finally arrived, the patty was raw inside. When we brought it up, Khushboo was rude and dismissive instead of apologetic. Totally unacceptable — poor service and unsafe food. Won’t be returning.
Restaurants should value their customers’ time and treat them with courtesy. Sadly, that was not the case here. I won’t be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone expecting decent service.

Review for Hero Certified Burgers:
I had a disappointing experience at Hero Certified Burgers. The burger was served cold, and the fries were overcooked and tasted like they’d been sitting out for hours. The service was slow despite the restaurant being nearly empty, and the staff seemed uninterested in addressing issues. Specifically, an employee named Khushboo displayed a poor attitude, responding rudely when I politely pointed out the cold food. She dismissed my feedback with an eye-roll and no attempt to resolve the issue, which made the experience even worse. I expected better from a place that claims to use high-quality ingredients, but the food and service fell short. I won’t be returning to this location.

Omkar served us with the most gracious attitude and smile. He was caring, considerate, and professional. He keeps the place clean and prepared our meals perfectly. Easily one of the best customer service experiences we've had.

We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals (Korean BBQ burger and Korean BBQ fries; jalapeño crispy chicken and Nashville poutine). The ingredients were fresh, and the flavor was amazing. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this.

I highly recommend the food at Hero Burger. We've had the spicy veggie burger as well, and it was one of the best we've tried. 10 out of 10!

Hero Certified Burgers delivers quality you can taste. The beef is fresh, juicy, and grilled to order, with plenty of topping options to customize your burger. The buns are soft yet sturdy, holding everything together perfectly. Their sweet potato fries and poutine are also worth trying. Service is usually quick, and the food always feels a step above typical fast food. Great spot for a satisfying, gourmet-style burger experience.

Ordered 2 burgers today from uber, Staff was welcoming, Store was very clean and food quality was top notch. Had a big portion and followed all the notes well! Will see you again :)
