Excellent food and service. Thank you for a wonderful intimate dinner experience. It was our first time at this lovely hidden gem in our little town of Bradford. Will definitely be returning. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend.

Someone recommended Il Gatto e La Volpe to me, but I was very disappointed. I should have known the food would be sub-par when I arrived on a Friday night with a reservation, only to find over 30 empty tables and was told to seat myself.

We were greeted promptly, but being told to seat ourselves at 7 pm with so many empty tables was bizarre. A bottle of flat water (likely just tap) was $8. For 2 people, we ordered calamari ($30) and rice balls ($25). The calamari portion was shockingly small—10 pieces of calamari and 5 shrimp. The rice balls were cold, hard, unflavored, and barely had any sauce.

Our mains were penne alla vodka and margherita pizza, both simple dishes that were completely ruined. The pizza was tiny, bland, and left my boyfriend hungry enough to get a burger after. The penne was overcooked mush with a flavorless vodka sauce. Even my mom, who tried the leftovers, said it didn’t taste like vodka sauce.

Finally, we ordered a tartufo for my boyfriend’s birthday. While decent, it was store-bought and not worth $12.

Final thoughts: We spent $150 for rice balls, calamari, pasta, and pizza—no alcohol, just one pop. We felt completely scammed. I will never return and strongly recommend avoiding this place at all costs!

One star for ambiance and one star for our server. The food was a complete let down.

How do you only have house wine by the glass? I was shocked that they only sell wine by the bottle .. You're an Italian restaurant. The least I expect is good options for wine by the glass.

I ordered the pappardelle and the taste was completely off. I don't know what was it but I had to tell my server that it tastes really weird. She was very kind, understanding and apologized. Offered to let me change it. My friend had ordered the penne alla vodka and she said it tasted fine so I ordered the same. It arrived quickly. Are you cooking your sauce in ghee?? We both could smell ghee in it and didn't enjoy it. As the dish cooled, the smell of ghee became more prominent. Not sure what was used. We felt bad to complain again so didn't bring it up to our server.

Absolutely disappointed by the food and lack of wine options. Will not be returning and do not recommend.

Our server was great and apologized multiple times. The food wasn't her fault.

I went for a Christmas party, a little loud but nice place, food is good, service was on point

Visited this restaurant for the first time Sunday Nov 10.
Waitress Julia was very friendly and gave good service.

Ordered the following items:
Diavola pizza - was very good, crust was cooked perfectly and toppings were good
Gnocchi with meat sauce - was good, the gnocchi pasta was very fresh and melted in your mouth.

Here’s where things didn’t go well - the Penne Alla Vodka - there is definitely a distinct cheddar cheese smell and flavour in this sauce, there is absolutely no vodka taste in the sauce and ham was used, maybe this is what changes the flavour? pancetta or bacon is not used. We couldn’t continue to eat it because of this taste. We even asked twice what was in the sauce, because the cheddar taste was overpowering. The recipe for this dish definitely needs to be changed. We have eaten Penne Alla Vodka at multiple Italian restaurants and even make it at home and it has never had a cheddar cheese taste to it.

As authentic as OG can be straight from Italy's Calabria region. Modern dining area where you can see their brick oven pumping out hot and excellent pizzas. Their pastas and risotto are good too. Good wine selection. Attentive and friendly service. The tiramisu is very good too.

The food was not as expected. Grilled calamari under cooked. (It even looked greyish in color, and very chewy.) polenta meh,,, had better.... Steak I should have known better. Keg is way better. Mussels were not bad. Not to mention we had to kill a bug while we were eating. I thought I was seeing things when I saw it crawling along my husband's shoulder. I was mortified. Let's just say I'll never be going back!

Came here with a large group last evening and was very pleased with not only the food but the hospitality and level of service. The staff were very attentive to our large group which included young teenage girls. The pasta was fresh and tasted very authentic. All other dishes were delicious and it was very clear that the kitchen did not cut corners! I will come back when I’m in town in the future ?
