If you're on the hunt for the best shawarma in the Vaughan area, your search ends at Shawarma Jwan. I recently visited and was absolutely blown away by the quality, flavor, and sheer size of their meals.
We ordered the mixed shawarma plates, and as you can see, they do not hold back! The plates came loaded with a generous bed of fluffy, aromatic yellow rice, topped with a mountain of succulent, perfectly spiced chicken and beef shawarma. The meat was incredibly juicy, tender, and full of authentic flavor—exactly what you crave in a top-tier shawarma.
The sauces were the cherry on top. They were liberally drizzled with a rich, creamy garlic sauce and a vibrant, tangy hot sauce that added the perfect kick. It created a mouth-watering symphony of flavors in every bite.
I also have to highlight the sides. The accompanying salad was fresh and crisp, and the assortment of pickled vegetables—from the vibrant pink turnips and crunchy pickles to the olives and hot peppers—added a wonderful tangy crunch that balanced the richness of the meat perfectly.
Shawarma Jwan is a true gem. The portions are huge, the ingredients are fresh, and the taste is phenomenal. Highly recommended for anyone craving a satisfying and delicious meal!

I recently had their mixed shawarma plate with rice, fries and salad, it was damn good. The portions are amazing, I did add extra meat and it was worth it. Their house special sauce is unique and elevates the overall taste of the meal, it was so good that I requested more.

I tried Shawarma Jwan yesterday and honestly, I was so impressed! The food was super fresh, flavorful, and the portions were amazing. I ordered both the shawarma wrap and a plate, everything tasted homemade and clean, nothing greasy or old.
It’s a family owned business and you can really feel the love they put into their food. They were so kind, welcoming, and genuine. The place is spotless and you can tell they take pride in what they do.
I’m definitely coming back!! This is officially my new go-to spot for shawarma in Woodbridge! Highly recommend to anyone who wants real, fresh Middle Eastern food done right. 👌🔥

Amazing food, homemade and doesn't charge extra for toppings - at least for their chicken shawarma. Great staff and really good quality atmosphere, seats are clean and sleek, tables are sparkling clean - you can see your own reflection on them clearly. Good atmosphere, come here instead of a major chain as it costs about the same while giving you better prepared and quality food.

Honestly portions were very little it felt very underwhelming so much so it felt they're rationing vegetables, barely any meat bread was barely charred from the grill, not worth the two shawarma's for $30

The chicken shawarma was hands down one of the best I’ve had in a long time – tender, and full of flavor. The shawarma chicken poutine was amazing. The service was friendly and welcoming, which made the meal even better. Peter took great care of us, and you can tell there’s pride in what they serve. Highly recommend Shawarma Jwan if you’re craving authentic, delicious Iraqi shawarma – it definitely exceeded our expectations!
