This is hands down the BEST fish and chips in the GTA. The owner is very kind and considerate of the customers. The vibe of the restaurant is very quaint and clean. Restroom is very easily accessible and clean. The fish is to die for. I personally don’t prefer the fries because they aren’t seasoned but if you like these types of fries I think you’ll like them. I always swap fries for the onion rings, they’re amazing! The service is phenomenal! Very welcoming and hospitable. I always come here because I know I will get the best food and service!

Great food, great service, clean place, price a bit steep but nevertheless I highly recommend this place for anyone and everyone.

Great food the people working were very nice the price is a bit high but its Woodbridge so... and they give a lot of food also we got the cod fish and chips also the kebab combo with soup and a poutine all was delicious. I also tried a samos and not too spicy but great flavour. Oh and i almost forgot some falafel pieces again great flavour. I will definitely be coming back.

The portion is large enough and food is very nice.

Mediocre at best. Chips have no semblance of crispness, the batter on the fish has nothing going for it and he coleslaw is very vinegary. The portion is ample however. Not horrible but nothing I would come back for.

Very expensive for what you get. Although portions are a decent size, I have had better fish and chips at other places for much cheaper. Service was great and very friendly, but food would not make me come back

I have to say up front, if it weren't for the huge, recent increase in prices, probably a 4. But at $75 for 3 combos, not Uber or delivery but picking it up ourselves, there's no way I can say I'll be returning anytime soon. Said 3 combos were one each of Halibut, Haddock, and Cod, with chips but no drinks. They were nothing over the moon compared to other half decent fish and chip places. Same greasy boxes/bags containing standard chips and nice, fresh fish. Decent portions. If you happen to be near the plaza where they're located (sort of a lonely intersection there at Islington and Hwy 7 West), it definitely fits the bill for a fish and chips craving, and you'd rather not have Pizza Pizza a few doors down. There's a parking lot which at least makes it convenient if you're not paying even more for delivery. Nothing against them really but wouldn't go back specially.

Went here for the first time about 3 years ago and used to be my regular Fish and Chips spot! The restaurant is now totally ruined, not the same whatsoever. Prices have went up a ridiculous amount since my first time there and still comparing to competitors they are the highest price even though their portions have actually gotten a little smaller. One thing I’ll give them is the quality of the food is good and I can’t say I don’t enjoy their halibut but the fries are now always stale. I think they also recently must’ve of gotten new owners cause they are so cheap.Biggest reason I’m writing my review today was from my last visit where I ordered a halibut combo and single Halibut on the side. Order was for pickup, once I payed I went through the order just to make sure everything looks good when I realized they only gave me 2 small cups of tartar sauce which were only halfway filled. I kindly asked the gentlemen to get some extra sauce and instantly he started giving me attitude saying he already gave me sauce. When I told him I would just like extra sauce because we really love to dip are Halibut into it he told me that he won’t give me any. I pulled out the two small cups and said this is all you gave me for 2 halibuts. He raised his voice and said ONE is enough. Honestly I couldn’t believe it, I asked for the manager and then he got really defensive and said okay I give you tartar sauce but I charge 50 cents per cup.At this point I was so dissatisfied with the service and the fact that he couldn’t just charge me the 50 cents from the start instead of telling me that I don’t need any extra tartar sauce has me in disbelief. I’ve never disliked a meal so much in my life just off how was I treated.I can confirm King of Fish and Chips will never receive my service ever again and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go back there. If you need a new spot I recommend Heritage Fish and Chips in Bolton top notch!

I came here the other day and ordered a halibut combo (fries + slaw) the drink you have to pay extra apparently.Overall it was nice and very filling due to portions.I would give this place a 3.5 really as even though it was good I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. My fries were minorly over cooked in my opinion but the owner gave me extra fries as he felt not enough was given to me the first time.

Portions are huge. The restaurant seems family owned and they are very nice. Got the seafood platter and it was really good. I like the fact they have shawarma options as well. Take out was quick. We placed 5 orders and it was ready fast and fresh.

Very clean place including the washrooms. Staff very nice and seating area more than acceptable. As for the fish and chips well that is where there is some issue. The haddock and chips are pretty damn pricey. $19.99 . For this location that seems very very high in my opinion. I would say the gold standard is Old Yorke Fish and Chips and they sell their haddock and chips for $15. I would also say the Old Yorke chips are much better. The fish at King is also good but the batter is a bit flour tasting and not light and crispy. Considering the price point I think they could up their quality. Now this place sells alot of other food so I cannot comment on those. I think they sell alot of samosas since they had two huge trays already cooked in the hot table area. Didn't try those since it was called King of Fish and Chips. Sadly they are not the King given the quality and price of the haddock. The Halibut is even more money and half the amount so don't go there. A guy came in just after me and ordered the same haddock and chips but requested no coleslaw. Man he was so right on that. It was very rough smelling. Too pickled smelling so could not even eat that. Value wise this place for Fish and Chips is 2.5 to 3. Much better options out there but maybe not in this location.

This is my go-to place for fish and chips! We discovered it during the pandemic and were going the extra mile to support local small food businesses. We are sure happy that we stumbled across King of Fish and Chips. The staff is always so friendly, the food never disappoints and the portions are huge. I'm looking forward to getting our next meal from there soon!

I paid 14.50 for this...... not worth it, service is slow, food is tasteless. The standards are soo low here. Would not recommend. Management should be ashamed they dare even call this a food establishment. They can't even afford to fix their door entrance and a sign is there asking me to be mindful of it. Truly poverty

While the fish and tartar sauce definitely were as good as any fish house out there. You pay for it!!!! It's about $5.00 a combo more than most places I've been to without a drink, just an FYI. Wasn't a big fan of the French fries though....
