La Strada Bakery Ltd

I went with my wife yesterday. They barely had anything. There's no place to sit and eat anything and we kept getting ugly looks from other customers. It was weird and awkward. We left and went somewhere else.

I’m extremely disappointed with the cake I received for my milestone birthday. I chose LaStrada Bakery because of the beautiful cakes they showcase on their Instagram, and I specifically asked for one to be made just like a photo they posted — with only two minor changes: no gold leaf and no magnolia replica flowers.

What I got looked nothing like the original. The cake was flat, dull, and lacked any sense of elegance or height. It honestly resembled something off a grocery store shelf, not the premium custom cake I expected — especially for such a special occasion.

Even the staff at the front desk saw my disappointment and seemed to agree that the final product missed the mark. I felt like corners were cut, and quality was sacrificed, despite paying for a custom order.

This was supposed to be a celebratory moment, and instead I left feeling let down and embarrassed to serve this cake. I will not be returning to LaStrada for any future events. I’ll be going back to Rustic Bakery, where they truly go above and beyond to create cakes that wow and make customers feel valued.

Amazing authentic food!!

I stumbled upon this bakery during the week and it turned out to be one of my favourite visits for fresh food and delicious coffee/lattes.

The food is a bit on the pricey side but I like that it’s always fresh so the value is also more for that reason. Though not sure my wallet can afford this on a regular occurrence but as a treat, definitely.

I have had the chance to try one of the biscotti (cranberry) and spinach empanadas; both were delicious.

Service is pleasant and welcoming!

First time in and it was donut day. Got a 4 pack box for myself and family. Reviews were good. The service was excellent and friendly .

They serve excellent espresso and delicious cookies.

The best bakery in the city. Whenever I get a chance, I stop in for an espresso and they always make me feel like family! Love La Strada and the entire team!

Very nice Italian Barkery ! Great and pleasant staff. Magnificent eats ! Was a little busy, so be prepared to wait a few minutes. You will be pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Of time we'll spent! But Basta!

The doughnuts are fresh and very good! Try the Ferraro Ricotta Sfoglia, It's amazing!

Simply amazing, just like Europe. But it is in Canada.

The cannoli were absolutely amazing, the donuts were fresh, fluffy and tasted very good. Highly recommend this place although parking can be an issue and getting out of the plaza is a nightmare. I'd almost park across the street next time.

The prices have absolutely skyrocketed. The quality of the product is fantastic, but the value for your hard earned money is not worth it.

I totally agree with what the last reviewer said. I had someone go there to grab a pumpkin and an apple pie, and they were both $30 each—what a scam! You can find way better quality at St. Phillips for half the cost. Also the pumpkin pie was super dense, and the apple pie was just alright, but at $30 each!, that’s just price gouging. I’m definitely not buying anything from Strada again. Hope this helps you out!
