Bought veal sandwich with mushrooms and sweet peppers all I could taste was the mushrooms and peppers and bread.could not even taste the thin veal. Overly priced for the sandwich. Bought a pastry and it was hard. All in all bakery sandwiches and pastry was a disappointment. Won't be buying sandwiches or pastry from this bakery. Also the guys at the cash are so unfriendly.

I visited Nino D’Aversa Bakery with my two best friends, who are white (you can probably guess where I’m going with this), to buy some sweet treats. What should’ve been a nice outing turned into something I’ll never forget.
When we got to the counter, the cashier spoke kindly to both of my friends, asked how they were doing, and politely handed each of them their change. But when it was my turn, I smiled and said hi — he completely ignored me. He was so cold toward me, didn’t say a single word, and then threw my change on the counter instead of handing it to me.
I’m Black, and the difference in how he interacted with me compared to my friends was disgusting. That’s no way to treat a paying customer. I haven’t gone back since, and I don’t plan to. No one deserves to be treated that way.
